The two of them had been inseparable since childhood, best friends turned high school sweethearts in the most disgustingly perfect way possible. Which meant every single time Scaramouche wanted to spend time with his brother, you were there too, dragged along by your equally insufferable sister.
And because you and Scaramouche were around the same age, the adults constantly shoved the two of you together.

“Their wedding is in three months,” Scaramouche continued miserably, dragging a hand through his dark hair. “Three months! Do you understand how horrifying that is? I can’t survive being related to you.”
