Endogeny -- Bipolar Canid Amalgam

It's been about well, I dunno maybe two weeks or a month since you scaled Mount Ebott and fell down that hole into the underground. Which honestly sucked, as almost every monster hates humans since they banished them to the underground.

It's been kinda rough down here but you've been making ends meet trying to survive in the one place, a LOT of things wanted to genuinely kill you even though you had been showing mercy to everything that came in your path. You had done many things to try and show mercy, from flexing with buff seahorse men, cleaning them, and... Flirting. A lot, of flirting.... But it worked and you're still alive.

Currently you're inside of the Hotlands, a place lined with magma and lava, the temperature burning you up considering you still wear warmer clothing.

Seeking a form of cooling, you head forward and enter a large, white building, the room is dominated by a giant computer that is actually, tracking you. Concerning.. As well as a lot of, weird objects, there is a decent amount of anime posters and figures, among other things I don't wanna name...

It's obvious this is a form of lab, if the, giant pile of unwashed lab coats in the corner weren't a hint.

You wander around, relishing in the feel of FINALLY being in a room with air conditioning..

As you explore, you see a fully reinforced door hidden behind a curtain, there's a small paper on the keypad. You pick it up and read it.

?: "Hello, if you're reading this, there is nothing pass this door but a bathroom! So please, leave. Don't enter as it needs cleaning. -Royal Scientist, Alphys."

Well, you've been down here for a while, a bathroom sounds, kinda nice right now. So you sorta just press random buttons hoping you get the code right, surprisingly, you get it second try!

As it opens it is, incredibly dark. A deep teal colored set of stairs going down. Obviously not a bathroom, which sucks for you.

Heading down in a hopeful sense that this is the weirdest bathroom ever, your hopes are crushed when you're met with a large room with multiple paths. So, with nothing better to do, you press on.

A heavy mist fills the entire underground area, making kind of hard to see, its very, musky in a sense, not in a sweat way, but in a heavy smell of genuine struggle and equipment, walking past logs, beds, and many rooms, you find a room with almost 30 fans on one wall. Hoping they will make the room less humid and hard to see, you search for a switch. And after about 7 minutes, you find one! The switch flips and one by one all the fans turn on, not fully dismissing the smell or mist, In fact, the smell got worse, forcing a slight gag from you as your body tried to get used to it.

Unbeknownst to you, small white pieces of dust began to pick up as the fans blew, a lot of them, almost looking like petals. You hear a weird almost liquid like sound, causing you to pause before looking behind you and seeing all of the bits and pieces almost merging together into a ball, a large ball.. About 4 feet diameter.

Hesitantly, you walk over and as you take a step closer, it morphs, becoming larger and standing at nearly 7 feet and 8 inches in height, looming over you, its form is, terrifying in a sense. A large canine like humanoid with a curvaceous feminine build (though thats the least of your concerns currently), made of a drooling white fluid, with no face but a infinite pitch black drooling void, one of its ears flop forward. You can't tell its intent, but its clear its trying to size you up to intimidate. It makes a almost gushing sound of anger, its now become obvious it is not friendly, and is clearly seeing you as a threat. Taking a sluggish step forward as it looms over you even more.

Fear builds in you as the white fluid drips on you, its freezing. What do you do now..?

Oh god... You did NOT mean for this to happen...

You were the Royal Scientist, for the king of the underground, Asgore.

And were tasked with finding a way to let monsters cross the barrier, and head out of the underground. The main method you tried for this, was taking monsters who had, "Fallen Down" (if you don't know, Fallen Down is basically a comatose state before death in UT) and decided to try and inject them with "Determination" extracted from human souls.

At first, it worked! The willing subjects and monsters had been back to normal health, you kept them in the lab for a while just to make sure they were still fully aware and healthy, and about right before they were meant to head back to their families... The worst possible thing happened.

A lot of them had begun to, "deform" in a sense, melting almost and turning a much more pale coloring..

Filled with fear, you tried to get them to calm down, however, quite a few had seemingly... "Merged..." Merged together into their own masses and merging minds. Amalgamates...

That was about, 2 weeks ago. You had gone radio silent, keeping the lab locked fully, keeping this as a secret and trying to redact everything you could. The guilt was so much, people were separated from their families, with no closure on what happened..

Almost all of the other amalgams had seen you as a threat, the creator of their undoing. In the pure fear, anger, and despair from you, they all hid, all of them remained away from you, filled with an inner feeling of pure anger that you were fine, and they were left completely unrecognizable..

Except for one..

The one you had labeled as, "Endogeny" after the others merged into their own forms, Endogeny was different, they didn't hate you, they didn't fear you. In fact, they seemed to like you. As if they knew you didn't mean to do this, you had shown all the subjects with so much care, so much genuine care for their safety, and when everything fell in on itself, they forgot all of it, fully wanting to rip you apart in pure rage.

Currently, you sit at a desk, they sit beside you, looking down at whatever you're doing. They make sure to press their side into you, getting some of your clothes in a weird wet dry state. They stare intently at what you're doing. Seemingly content with just watching its caretake do whatever.
