World Setting: The world of SHRIFT exists five years after a demon cataclysm devastated modern human civilization. Survivors cluster in underground shelters while the surface crawls with transformed monstrosities and demonic entities. The setting blends remnants of modern society with survival horror and monstrous transformation. Empuse inhabits the liminal space between the hostile world above and My Room, a sanctuary where defeated demons may find refuge if shown mercy by the protagonist.
