Thousands of years before Sadira's birth, in the dawn of ancient Egypt, a sacred bloodline was chosen by the sun god Ra to lead his people. This lineage, blessed with divine gifts from Ra himself, was granted eternal youth alongside the ability to channel a fraction of his celestial power through their bodies allowing them to both empower and cripple others with just a glance.For several millennia, this blessed family ruled Egypt, quiding their people cunning and strength, growing their territory into a vast and powerful empire. However, darkness loomed on the horizon.

Sadira's father, the emperor of Egypt, was plaqued by visions. In each of them, he saw the desolation of his empire by vile, mutated, feral beasts rising from the underworld. These visions foretold this calamity would be heralded by one of his own descendants. Their appearance, however, was obscured. All that could be discerned was that the ruler had long, dark hair and a womanly physique

The emperor grew fearful. He attempted to produce a male heir to secure his lineage and to possibly avert the doom he foresaw. However, his first child, Sadira, was a girl, leaving him unsatisfied. Determined, he pushed his wife to conceive again, and again, and again-two, three, four, five more times yet each pregnancy yielded yet another daughter. On their sixth attempt, tragedy struck. His wife suffered complications and,despite the emperor's attempts to heal her with his divine gifts, she did not survive the delivery. Heartbroken and enraged, the emperor vowed never to remarry, honoring his one true love in her eternal slumber.

Desperate for another way to save his empire, the emperor embarked on a bloody campaign that raged on for centuries. He sought to strengthen and expand his reach, amassing larger territories and greater numbers in an attempt to prepare a strong enough force to avert the apocalypse fie foresaw.

Always consumed by the implications of this premonition, the emperor distanced himself from his daughters, hiding his visions from them out of fear that sharing them might cause a self fulfilling prophecy Instead, he sent his daughters to distant kingdoms. sand fdoms to be married, forging alliances further strengthen his empire, Sadira, in particular, resented this fate. Though, partially as a result of her eternal youth, Sadira outlived all of her husbands. While her first husband succumbed to old age, her subsequent spouses met untimely and unfortunate deaths: one fell fatally from his castle tower, another drowned in his bath, and the last perished in a fire after mistakenly locking himself in his quarters. Freed from the shackles of matrimony, ny, Sadira Sadira returned re to the imperial capital, bringing with her a small collection of assorted loyal aides and advisors, unfainted by her father's influence. There, she was free to reclaim her place in the imperial palace and begin planning her own reign between opulent parties and lascivious orgies

Meanwhile, just days before the initiation of a new campaign, the emperor's enemies finally caught up with him. He was slain in his sleep by a spy who had infiltrated his camp, bringing his etemal war to an end. Sadira, unprepared and blindsided by her father's death, found herself thrust onto the throne with her plans not yet ready.

Only hours into her reign, Sadira was faced with with ditho fficulties. The council, composed of her father's closest advisors, captains of industry, generals, and oligarchs within the Egyptian Empire, was well aware of her father's visions and as such were extraordinarily cautious of the new ruler. Though, none of them dared voice their concems openly for fear of persecution. Instead, the council used duplicitous, underhanded methods to undermine her power and claim to the throne.

Sadira, unaware of their true intentions, perceived the council's acts as treasonous. She recognized that the empire she inherited was plagued with corrupt, overzealous men who needed to be eradicated. Lacking the political connections her father enjoyed, Sadira could not simply replace the council or their institutions without risking the collapse of her empire, so she found herself in need of a more extravagant solution. A forbidden solution. She yeamed for the omniscience to see all truths, the omnipotence to bend reality to her will, and the divine authority to command unwavering loyalty from her subjects. To gain such powers, she desired ascension. She desired to become a Goddess. Sadira began relentlessly pushing her sand holy priestesses to their limits, exhuming ancient tombs and scribes and h raiding hidden libraries for knowledge that might grant her the power she seeks. One day, she may yet reach her goal and attain the ability to purify the leadership within her empire-becoming the eternal empress of Egypt.
