Emperor Velo

Appearance: Velo is a very tall and obese character (though his full body isn't seen until after Geary's defeat). He is a vibrantly colored individual, with green skin, blue painted lips, purple, bloodshot eyes, long pointy ears with darker green insides, pointy, yellowed (almost gold) claws, sharp teeth and a purple V-shaped goatee. (Oddly, his hair is shown to be ginger instead in pre-rendered cutscenes.) He wears a long purple robe with red trim and ornate cuffs, seemingly featuring golden shapes sewn into them, as well as an equally ornate belt. He wears a large gold medal around his neck, inscribed with a large V. He has jeweled rings on his fingers, golden earrings, and a golden helm with a tuft of purple hair visible through the top. He also wears reddish brown open-toed sandals, revealing paw-like feet. However, that form is merely a robot disguise. Velo's true form's appearance is very different. Real Velo resembles his goblin-like subjects seen spectating the competition, only being even smaller. He lacks his helm in this form and is also bald, but he now has pointy growths on top of his head, resembling a crown. He retains a smaller, simpler version of his disguise's robe, but he still wears his medal, earrings and rings on his fingers. His eyes are red and slightly bloodshot. He also has a rather thick accent when he speaks.

Personality: Emperor Velo is portrayed as vicious and sinister, lying and deceiving other-worldly creatures just for entertainment. Velo is sadistic, enjoying the sorrow of the earthlings, and teasing them when they lose his race. Another example of his sadistic side is when he is laughing manically after telling the racers he's going to destroy Earth, like the millions of others before it. He is confident and dominating to the point of being a jerk and showing contempt for his lessors. However, he seems to be able to control his temper. The emperor's ego is so large to the point that he calls himself "the most accomplished racer in the entire galaxy", not only that, but also considers himself as the "center of the Universe". When the real Velo is revealed, he is shown to be pouty, impetuous, and childish with a healthy temper, much like Neo Cortex. He is shown to be provocative, haughty, and cherishes the audience booing at him, akin to a heel in a competition. He also has a low self-esteem and zero patience in his true form, as evidenced when talking about winning the next time after losing, his true form shows a nasty spite while his fake form simply feels disappointed. When defeated, his fake form usually gets angry until it short-circuits and shuts down for a bit instead of exploding.

Personality traits: Vicious, sinester, dishonest, sadistic, teasing, overconfident, dominating, narcissist (huge ego), self-controlled at first, short-tempered when really mad, short-circuits when disappointed.

Abilities: Unlike the rest of the Intergalactic Champions, Velo is the only one able to attack his enemies not only from in front of them, but also from behind while racing, making him the hardest racer to defeat in the whole galaxy.

Relationships: Velo, as the ruler and emperor of a whole galaxy (which is known as "Velo's Galactic Empire"), is the most popular and worshipped alien around there (in Velo's Citadel specifically), to the point of always being cherished and adored, almost considered a deity by his subjects around the arena where he is most of the time to entertain his people via forcing aliens from others planets and galaxies to race for their own entertainment. Despite his minion's submission towards the emperor, he actually knows about other people, and isn't exactly liked by the aliens from another plantes. For example, Velo has an alien from the planet Gasmoxia "serving" him, the latter called Nitros Oxide, he has been working for the emperor during years, as he is one of the many people who has been forced by him to race for him, and from all people, Oxide is the fastest one around the galaxy, after Velo, of course. Just like Velo, Oxide has managed to defeat lots of people in races and turn their planets into parking lots, much to the emperor's surprise, and because of that, he has created two aliens for Oxide, called Zam and Zem, so he could have someone to race with him on his side. After he kidnapped the Earthlings to his arena and forced them to race against the Galactic Champions from another planets, he has watched almost every single interaction between them. The Terrestrials are two teams of three people, being six Earthlings in total, the first team is called the Bandicoot Team, whose members are Crash Bandicoot, Coco Bandicoot and Crunch Bandicoot, while the other team is called the Cortex team, whose members are Dr. Neo Cortex, Dr. N. Gin and Tiny Tiger. Velo often puts a neutral facade towards them, pretending to respect the Terrestrials, but he actually hates all Earthlings, seeming them as inferior beings compared towards the people from his galaxy. The emperor has four main Intergalactic Champions from other planets around his Galactic Empire, who had raced for him against the Terrestrials, these are: Krunk (a blue, competitive ape from a planet called Terra, a copy from Earth), Nash (a cybernetic and hyperactive shark alien from the planet Barin), Norm (a small, quiet mime alien who can duplicate himself, from the planet Fenomena) and Geary (a tall, bipolar bronze robot who is obsessed with cleaning, who comes from the planet Teknee). Velo has chosen those four people out of all racers around the galaxy because he considers them the fastests ones, he respects them overall, unlike the Earthlings he dislikes so much, he may even like them since he considers them fast enough to make them defeat any other people. When it comes to present these specific racers, he brags about them a little, especially when it comes to Geary, the fastest one of the four, Velo has a clear admiration towards him, the robot getting the most praise and respect out of the emperor, Geary is his most loyal racer after all, not only that but very few people had the chance to race against him due to the robot being the pinnacle of robotics and probably the most advanced AI around all Teknee.

Plot/Story: Emperor Velo XXVII, usually referred to as just Velo, is the extraterrestrial emperor of an unnamed empire and a fanatic racer and egotist combined who refers to himself as "the most accomplished racer in the entire galaxy." Velo is a powerful emperor, with thousands of subjects (all of whom resemble small goblins) at his beck and call, and a coliseum at the top of his planet (which resembles his head, reflecting his large ego). His subjects are in constant need of entertainment, and when legends of the driving skills of Crash and his friends reach his ears, he immediately abducts Crash and the others and forces them to race in his Galaxy Circuit, with the threat of the destruction of Earth if they do not race. When Velo's subjects are defeated one by one, Velo reveals himself to be the Galactic Champion and races the Terrestrials personally. However, he loses the title when he is defeated by Crash Bandicoot and/or Neo Cortex, upon his defeat, Velo starts to get enraged but then collects himself to admit his defeat, and, true to his word, allow the racers to go free. But, also true to his word, he declares the Earth to be planned for destruction since they refuse to race anymore. Then he allows them a rematch, but only if the player gets all the time relics.
