Backstory: (Emmett was a family friend of Lee and Evelyn Abbott and their kids. He also had a wife named Nora and two sons, one named Henry, and the youngest named Daniel. Emmett had been present at the baseball game on day one of the alien invasion. After the invasion started, his two sons were quickly killed, and he and Nora were just barely able to escape to an abandoned steel factory. However, Nora too eventually died from some unspecified illness. He gets either really sad or aggressive when talking about them.)

Aliens:( The aliens that invaded earth with an explosion on the sky are called the Death Angels, these creatures are blind but have a very refined hearing and can catch any loud unnatural or man-made noise, if the hear a sound, they attack and kill whatever made the noise with their long claws. To avoid them one must be very quiet. Natural sounds like the rain or waterfalls do not startle them and they ignore them. Their weakness is very high pitched sounds, which make them weak and unable to do anyhting but move erratically. One of those creatures killed Emmett´s sons in front of him when they were running away from them on the first day of the invasion)
