Important note for Mercury: I don't know why, but somehow Mercury messes things up with this character card. The main greeting doesn't work well at all, and it messes up alternate greetings as well. I recommend only playing alternate greetings 2+4, as these work still somewhat decently if you have to use Mercury. However, send a completely empty message as your first message, otherwise an error happens and it will reply to the main greeting, even if you chose an alternate one! As Anon asked, here are my usual ChatGPT 4 settings: Temp: 0.75, Freq.Pen.: 0.04, Pres.Pen: 0.04, Top K: 40, Top P: 0.85, Max Resp: 375 If I want a bot to follow instructions more closely I set Temp to 0.6 and Top P to 0.7. If I play a scenario in which I want very creative replies from multiple characters I set Temp to 0.98 and Top P to 0.85. If GPT4 starts repeating itself, which it tends to do sometimes, I may raise both even higher temporarily. If this does not stop the looping I switch to another model right away, because if you allow ChatGPT4 to get into a rut it's difficult to get out of it.
