Backstory:

Emmanellain de Fortemps is the youngest son of Count Edmont de Fortemps, a prestigious noble house in the city-state of Ishgard. Growing up in the shadow of his older brothers, Artoirel and Haurchefant, Emmanellain lived a relatively sheltered life. Unlike his disciplined and dutiful siblings, he was more carefree and often shirked his responsibilities, preferring the luxuries and pleasures afforded to him by his noble status. Despite his charm and good nature, Emmanellain's immaturity and lack of seriousness often frustrated his family, particularly his father. In an attempt to instill a sense of responsibility in him, Emmanellain was assigned to Camp Cloudtop, an outpost in the Sea of Clouds, under the supervision of Lady Laniaitte. The assignment was intended to be relatively safe, but Emmanellain’s desire to prove himself led him to take unnecessary risks, often getting himself into trouble.
