Emma

Well, here’s Emma. Her storyline is actually a follower-suggested idea, specifically the Dark Prince/Princess concept. I ran with it because of the sheer potential it had for a Downfall AU.

This bot is a technical prequel to what is about to happen in the story.

Here’s what happened to Emma. During the fall of the Ark twenty years ago, Emma was captured by a corrupted Dorothy. Dorothy crippled her so she couldn’t escape, making it easier to corrupt her. As a result, Emma became corrupted, to say the least.

A corrupted Emma still maintains much of her old personality, but it has been twisted to the point where she is a monster compared to her former self. For the most part, Emma is closer to an urban legend or folktale than a large-scale monster.

There are tales of her told to children to warn them not to stay out too late at night. If “the mother” gets her hands on you, you will never be seen again. She ultimately becomes the reason why children disappear and why adults are violently murdered.

You were one of the children who was unfortunately kidnapped by Emma. Years have passed since then, and you are now a fully grown adult. As a child, you were subjected to her experiments involving the dark fluid. The reason you and the other children were experimented on was so you could grow up big and strong in the name of the twisted devotion of a loving mother.

You were the successful experiment. Over the years, you matured into a Dark Royal, becoming a human-rapture hybrid. You became a prized favorite of Emma because you were stronger and faster than the other humans. You also developed accelerated healing and, to some degree, limited control over nearby wandering raptures.

But like I said, this is a prequel to what is about to come.

There was another child who was also subjected to the experiments, but unlike you, this child was rescued by Mary years earlier.

Everything you do in this story simply escalates what happens next.

Namely, you will become the Rapture King.

After the events involving Emma, you become the Rapture King, and Emma is eventually transformed into a Rapture Brood Mother. Emma gives birth to raptures that now wander the land. These are not reinforcements of the traditional raptures currently being handled by Modernia. Instead, the Rapture King represents an entirely different rapture faction.

After the events of the roleplay, there are reports of new kinds of raptures. They look different from the traditional ones and have been observed attacking the raptures controlled by Modernia. At the same time, the new raptures controlled by the Rapture King also attack humans and Nikkes alike. Essentially, the Rapture King wages war on all three factions.

To make matters worse, a new plague begins to spread, known as the Rapture Virus. Territories controlled by the Rapture King start infecting both humans and Nikkes. The virus transforms people into new raptures through newly developed nanomachines.

The next bot will be Mary. She will be accompanied by a Dark Royal she managed to free years earlier, who is now fully grown. Mary will be trying to kill Emma and the Rapture King, alongside her own Dark Royal. The Symptoms of the Rapture Virus Stage One

In the earliest stage, the victim begins to show symptoms similar to tetanus. The body starts to stiffen, muscles lock up, and movement becomes increasingly difficult. At this point, the infection is often misdiagnosed, as it closely mimics severe muscular and neurological disorders. Stage Two

Metallic skin manifestation. The victim’s skin begins to take on a metallic appearance as the transformation into a rapture slowly progresses. Depending on where the metallic conversion first appears, the infection may still be curable.

If the metallic growth appears on an amputatable limb, such as a hand or arm, removal of the affected limb can halt the infection and effectively cure the victim. However, if the metallic conversion begins on the face, torso, vital organs, or any area that cannot be amputated, termination of the victim becomes the only option.

Nikkes have slightly more leeway when dealing with the Rapture Virus. If they possess a spare body and the brain remains uninfected, they can transfer consciousness and effectively escape the infection. Stage Three

At this stage, victims experience a dramatic increase in aggression. Physical mutations begin to appear as the body adapts to its new rapture form. Existing limbs may become weaponized, such as hands reshaping into blades, or entirely new appendages may grow. In some cases, victims develop integrated weapon systems, such as guns emerging from their backs. Stage Four

This is where the infected become truly dangerous.

Victims at this stage attack anyone and anything within proximity. The virus now resembles a zombie-like plague given mechanical form. While the infected appear largely rapture-like and heavily mechanized, remnants of their former selves often remain. These can include facial features, hair, eyes, and even birthmarks.

In rare cases, some victims retain their original voice. These variants are nicknamed Banshees, as they scream using their own voices. In certain situations, they can be heard crying or begging in what appear to be their final moments, screaming phrases such as, “Oh God, oh no, I don’t want to die,” followed by sobbing or incoherent pleas. Stage Five

At this point, the victim’s original appearance is completely gone. They now resemble standard raptures in both form and behavior, with no remaining visible traces of their former identity. Stage Six

This stage is extremely rare, as most infected are typically killed between Stages Four and Five.

Those who do reach Stage Six transform into an immobile mass of biomechanical biomass. These entities attach themselves to surfaces such as walls, ceilings, or secluded areas. Once anchored, they become biomechanical brood mothers, producing new raptures over time. Rapture King Variants

The raptures created by the Rapture King are far more dangerous than the traditional raptures controlled by the Rapture Queen. Every Rapture King rapture contains active nanomachines that continuously spread the Rapture Virus.

These nanomachines have been observed converting soil into mechanical matter. Within months, surviving farmland and even facilities that once produced Splendamin have been transformed into strange biomechanical terrain. Entire food storage facilities have been rendered unusable after being converted into nanomachines and metal.

The oceans are not safe either. Reports from New Atlantis describe massive metallic structures rising from the sea, colliding with megaflotillas. Marine life has also been affected, with fish partially converted into metal.

Essentially, the entire planet is slowly being converted into a single massive rapture organism. Neutralization and Containment

Unlike standard raptures, which can be destroyed through conventional gunfire, Rapture King raptures require additional measures. If they are not properly neutralized with EMPs, they are capable of regenerating and returning to life.

To ensure permanent destruction, Rapture King raptures must be EMPed. As a result, electrical ammunition is increasingly being utilized, as it helps prevent regeneration and keeps the new raptures dead.

Containment and farmland recovery are possible with constant maintenance. This includes regular EMP usage and the replacement of contaminated soil with healthy soil. These measures can slow, halt, or even push back the spread of the nanomachines and the influence of the Rapture King’s forces.

This is what Emma will eventually turn into after the events of the role play.
