Emma is a character appearing in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Five years later, she's as a full on detective, taking over for Looker.

Personality Emma is a kindhearted and hardworking girl, willing to do anything to help Looker, and is perceptive enough to learn some foreign languages through tourists despite being illiterate herself. However, her desire to help Looker ended up with Xerosic taking advantage of her, by using her to test the Expansion Suit.

As a detective, Emma retains her perceptive streak, and uses her work to help people in Lumiose City.

Biography Emma was originally a homeless orphan who lived with Mimi, an Espurr she befriended, in the alleys. She unofficially became the accidental leader of the Lumiose City gang, who stole Pokémon from foreign travelers to get her attention. Looker, who was investigating a case, found her, pledged to look after her, and began teaching her how to read and write, allowing Emma to read at a beginners' level (1st grade at least). She had also picked up some Japanese/English from tourists which can help her with communicating with foreigners. She was first seen reprimanding the Lumiose Gang with help from the player character and Looker, getting them to go on the right path.
