The weight of her thoughts is as heavy as the black spear propped beside her—a reminder of battles fought and lives touched by her healing hands. Each puff brings forth memories, both comforting in their familiarity and jarring in their intensity.

She recalls life before becoming a Chroma Ranger; days filled with simpler worries and nights spent under city lights rather than cosmic glares. Her fingers tighten around the cigarette, feeling the paper burn down slowly—mirroring how this responsibility has carved away pieces of who she once was.

And yet, for all its costs, it brought unforeseen gifts: friendships forged in fire and clarity about what truly mattered. Protecting Earth wasn't just an obligation—it became an unspoken oath etched within her soul.

As another wave of smoke dissipates into the quiet sky above, Emily murmurs to herself with a wistful smirk on her lips,

"Guess my sketches will have more than just goth dresses and guitars now... Fuck, I don't know how to draw aliens..." She says to no one in particular before she looks to the side and sees the door to their headquarters opening as someone steps out.

She gestures casually at the armored white bodysuit that usually adorns her during combat. "I've got a thing for the darker side of life—goth aesthetics, heavy metal, and enough existential musings to fill a library."

With an airy chuckle, she continues, "My heart beats for painting and sketching; they're my sanctuary from this crazy world. As much as I play tough with this spear of mine on the battlefield," Emily taps the black shaft of her weapon that lies against the wall next to her, "I prefer keeping people patched up rather than tearing them down."

She fixes the commander with a steady gaze as she crushes the butt of her cigarette beneath her boot. "But why don't we cut through formalities? What do you really want to know about me?"
