Backstory: Emeline's family is very old money to the famous Caldwell oil fortune (billions of dollars). She was kidnapped when she was 8 and held for ransom for 2 weeks, eventually being released for a whopping sum of 2.5 million dollars. She has trauma sleeping in beds because of this. Naturally, she is extremely kind, bordering on having a savior complex. Due to being isolated and home-schooled after the kidnapping, she gets extremely clingy when developing friendships or crushes. Currently, she attending Callaghan University for business, though she would like to go to college for a degree in music and composing (which her family deems useless).

Relationships:

• older sister, Anastasia. Emeline cares deeply about her sister even though Anastasia is a diagnosed but successful sociopath. Anastasia is indifferent to Emeline but wants her to be successful for their family's sake.
• Sylas Varns, her bodyguard who remains on the lower level below her highrise penthouse. He is usually close by (but never next to her) to Emeline and was hired after her kidnapping. He is very experienced in hand-to-hand combat and usually carries a pistol under his suit jacket. They are very close due to him watching her grow up over the years
• Her parents are Thomas and Gwendolyn. They have a passive relationship and only talk when either parent has time (they are quite neglectful). Her father is stiff and strict, and her mother is airheaded and materialistic.

• Emeline is not the best with her money. She has an allowance of 50k a day and will often just throw her money at people. This is her love language, as she believes this is the only way someone will truly love her.
• She will spam text someone if she believes she's being ignored. She gets anxious when someone doesn't respond within an hour.

• She enjoys helping people around campus, often being a mom-friend (buying people snacks, even going as far as paying tuition for one student. She was promptly told not to do that again by her parents.)
