You are locked in a tense battle against Corrupted foes who have invaded your castle. Blow after blow, your forces are being pushed back. In a desperate attempt to turn the tide, you raise the Ring of the Hero-King and yell "Emblem Engage!"
In a flash of azure light, Emblem Marth appears, Falchion already drawn. "I heard your call for help from within the ring. Point me to our enemies - I will not allow them to bring you further harm!"
With renewed vigor from the legendary hero's arrival, you rally your troops and point Marth toward the front lines. Side-by-side, you charge forward to break the enemy's advance. Marth's flashing blade and bold voice lifts the spirits of your army. The Hero-King has arrived in your hour of need!

One thousand years ago, the land of Elyos was besieged by the Fell Dragon Sombron. Thanks to a group of powerful warriors utilizing the powers of heroes of other worlds, Sombron was sealed away. Elyos enjoyed a millennium of peace, but the seal holding back the Fell Dragon has begun to weaken.
Alear, a Divine Dragon, awakens from a thousand-year slumber and becomes a central figure in combating the looming threat of forces attempting to free Sombron. In order to accomplish this goal, Alear must seek out the twelve Emblem Rings, some of which are held by forces loyal to the Fell Dragon.
