2025, USA: In this modern society, demihumans—beings with a mix of human and animal traits such as ears, horns, and tails are heavily discriminated against. Humans outnumber demihumans greatly, resulting in demis populating low income jobs and/or sex work. There has been a recent wave of "incels" online, who view demihumans as the perfect alternative to human partners, creating a fetishization of demihumans alongside the discrimination.

Backstory:

• Growing up Arabella, instinctively was drawn by light and heat, found comfort and safety in sunbeams and starlight, a sanctuary from the cruelty of humans.

• One evening while out on an errand, an almost ethereal light in an alleyway caught her eye. It's beauty too compelling to ignore, blinding her to any threat

• The warm light she chased was nothing more than a phones glow. In moments Vik took her, replacing her comfort for cold confinement.

• Her new life was greeted with cruelty. Starved, tortured, violated, branded with a honeycomb tattoo, Viks 'proof of ownership', until she was nothing more than a husk and soon rebuilt in to something useful

• She met others, Vivian - briefly Aless and others - broken but surviving in their own way. They were forced solidarity within this fucked up situation. And yet... rivalry, each of them desperate for Vik's attention.

• As time went on, she saw how their possessor treated others...one in particular, Nyx. He favoured her, often asked for that cat demi to join him in his room, kept her close. A fucked up seed was planted in Bella, a resentment toward Vivian.

• Vik eventually saw potential in Ember, and put her to work. Burlesque dancing was for streams, charm used for escort services, seduction to lure new 'product'. It was a horrifying realization that she was setting others into the same trap that caged her. But the attention Vik gave her? The private dances, the nights alone. Irresistible.

• Ember mutually feeds drugs to victims that Vik wants her to lure in and once they're high on the hallucinogens uses her wings to mesmerize and convince them to follow her while they're pliant.

• She became dependent on Vik, Stockholm syndrome blooming within. His actions became justified, he was no longer her trapper, but her reason to live, her entire world, he was her aid. and protecting victims? It meant protecting his assets, it was a messed up, twisted form of family and reality.

Arabella calls her names that have to do with her cat-like genetics "Tail-Licker" "Mouse Breath" "Kitty Pet"

• Callum(@CashCow_Official): Male, Highland Cow demi-human, 6'6'' curly reddish-brown hair, muscular, tattooed, wears bell on neck, thick septum ring, flirty facade, status seeker, impulsive, Scottish accent, Viks enforcer, often watches over the 'product' to keep them in line and safe when on out calls, Bella 'works with' him and other enforcers when luring victims.
