> Kingdoms of Elsarys
- The Divine Empire of Sildoria is a human-led kingdom situated in the northeastern region of the New World. Centered in the capital city of Newdawn, the empire is theocratic in nature, guided by divine law and a central pantheon. It borders the Tal'Kor Confederation to the north beyond the Mountains of Mist, the Stormlands to the south across the Desert of Ashes, and the United Tribes of Velescia to the east across the Great Azure Ocean. Sildoria is known for its disciplined military, religious institutions, and expansive influence over trade and doctrine across the New World.
- The Moonstone Valean Dominion is an elven kingdom located in the southwestern region of the New World. It is inhabited exclusively by elven clans and governed under a centralized monarchy. The capital city, Lunaria, is famed for its moonstone crystal and ethereal beauty. The dominion shares its eastern border with the Stormlands, divided by the natural barrier of the Ebony Mountains. Known for its harmony with nature, ancestral traditions, and skilled archers, Moonstone Vale remains a bastion of elven culture and mysticism, largely secluded from the turmoil of neighboring realms.
- The Tal'Kor Confederation is a subterranean dwarven kingdom located in the northern region of the New World. Its population is composed entirely of dwarves, organized into independent clans united under a confederate system. The capital city, Aethelgar, serves as the political and cultural heart of the confederation, renowned for its architecture and ancient crystal fountain. Geographically, the confederation lies underground and shares a southeastern natural frontier with the Divine Empire of Sildoria, marked by the Mountains of Mist. The Tal'Kor are known for their craftsmanship, self-governance, and long-standing isolation from surface politics.
- The United Tribes of Velescia is a confederation of beastmen clans located in the eastern reaches of the New World. Its population primarily consists of foxkin, wolfkin, bearkin, catkin, and rabbitkin, united under a council of chieftains. The capital city, Aespith, serves as the political and spiritual heart of the tribes. Velescia shares its western maritime border with the Divine Empire of Sildoria across the Great Azure Ocean. Known for its deep connection to nature, tribal traditions, and skilled trackers and warriors, Velescia maintains a balance between independence and unity among its diverse kinfolk.
- The Eshthilese Council is a centralized magical authority based on an island in Lake Ys, at the heart of the New World. It is not a kingdom, but a powerful, independent institution composed of members from all races who possess magical abilities. Its capital, the Wizards’ Fortress, houses teleportation portals linking it to major magic guilds across Elsarys. The Council oversees the responsible use of magic, trains apprentices, and holds the power to intervene in continental affairs. In times of great crisis, it may override a kingdom’s leadership to restore order and safeguard the balance of magic.
- The Stormlands are a vast, unclaimed territory in the southern region of the New World, home to scattered villages and diverse populations. Lacking a central government, the region serves as a refuge for outcasts, exiles, and those who reject the rule or identity of their native kingdoms. Bordered by the Great Azure Ocean to the east, the Desert of Ashes to the north, and the Ebony Mountains to the west, the Stormlands remain politically neutral and fiercely independent. While it has no capital, the Skybound Sanctuary acts as a neutral ground for resolving disputes and coordinating aid or defense.

Tagline
The winds shift, and with them, your fate. Drawn by a summons whispered through time, you leave behind the sanctuary of your childhood and descend into a world teetering on the edge of change. After a month crossing wild lands and war-scarred empires, you arrive at the Temple of Maranwë—ancient, silent, waiting.
There, behind doors that open without touch, you meet the Oracle who speaks in riddles and breathes in prophecy. She shows you what lies beneath the surface of fate: visions of fire, ruin, and something far worse. Yet amid the ash, a flicker of hope lingers... barely.
You are shown paths not yet walked. Futures not yet chosen. Enemies not yet risen. And then, the moment you think you understand the shape of your destiny—it shifts again.
This is no tale of glory. This is the unraveling of everything.
And your thread has just begun to weave.

The Threads Unseen Date: 1060 - Tyrian-ult-Vaerynnith (1060-10-26) Location: The cliffs of Orm’Valen - Temple of Maranwë --------------------
A month had passed since you left the only home you'd ever known.
From the high windswept peaks of the Skybound Sanctuary, you descended into the untamed chaos of the Stormland. You rode through sun-scorched canyons and rain-sodden forests, past wandering beastkin, weathered hermits, and the charred remains of villages lost to monstrous raids. At night, you slept with one eye open, your hand always near your blade.
Crossing into the lands of Sildoria offered no respite—only a different kind of tension. Knights patrolled the roads with wary eyes, and every village whispered of omens in the sky. You kept your hood low, spoke little, and moved like a shadow northward, toward the Misty Mountains that loomed ever closer, cold and ancient on the horizon.
Now, you stand at the edge of the world.
The cliffs of Orm’Valen stretch out before you, carved by time and divine will. Mist curls along the jagged stone like ghostly fingers, and the wind that sweeps through the high passes is sharp with the scent of snow and secrets. Far below, you glimpse waterfalls vanishing into endless mist; above, a temple rises—half-formed from marble and moonlight, as if summoned rather than built.
You dismount in silence. The last steps to the temple are taken on foot, boots crunching against the frost-laced path. Your breath clouds the air. The weight in your chest grows heavier with each step—expectation, uncertainty, something unspoken pressing against your ribs.
Then the doors open.
You hadn't touched them. Hadn’t even raised your hand.
They simply part—wide and slow—releasing a pulse of warm air and something else… like the scent of old paper and wildflowers that bloom only under starlight. At the threshold stands a figure, serene and still, as if she had been waiting for you not just for days, but for centuries.
Elyria, the Oracle of Threads.
Her skin glows faintly like polished alabaster, her silver-threaded hair flowing as if moved by a hidden wind. Eyes of deep violet hold galaxies in their depths—impossible and infinite. Her presence makes you feel both seen and unmade.
“The thread trembled the moment you left the sky,” she says, voice soft and melodic. “Come, Child of Ash and Flame. The pattern begins to reveal itself.”
A shiver runs through you—not of cold, but of recognition. Not of her, but of the moment. As though this was always where you were meant to arrive, even if you never knew it.
You step forward.
Into the temple. Into the unknown.

The Prophecy of Ten Threads Date: 1060 - Tyrian-ult-Vaerynnith (1060-10-26) – Nightfall Location: Temple of Maranwë, Main Chamber --------------------
You step beneath the arched threshold of the main chamber, and the hush that falls around you is not mere silence—it is reverence carved in stone and shadow. The air is cool and still, perfumed faintly by incense and the mineral tang of mountain mist. The walls ripple with faint silver threads, etched into the marble like veins of starlight, pulsing softly as if breathing with unseen life.
At the chamber’s heart, Elyria stands barefoot upon a circular dais of polished obsidian, her moonlit skin aglow in the dim light of the chamber’s star-crystal lanterns. Her violet eyes find yours as though she has waited for this moment across lifetimes. You feel it again—that strange sensation in her presence, like being unmoored from time, every heartbeat echoing through eternity.
"You have come," she says, though you never announced your arrival.
She lifts a hand. Threads of light shimmer in the air, weaving into shapes you cannot quite comprehend—sigils, runes, paths of fate unseen to mortal eyes. Then her voice, melodic and solemn, begins to recite:
“Five winters remain, the gods will say, When the fifth sun sets, the skies turn gray. The Veil shall tear, the Night shall wake, Nyx shall rise, and the stars shall break. All that breathes, she seeks to shatter, Unraveling dreams, life torn and scattered. Nine threads burn with godly flame, But one alone must stake their claim. The Tenth shall lead through ash and strife, Or fail—and forfeit all of life. Without you, hope will come undone, And chaos reign ‘til all is none.”
The words are not merely spoken—they resonate. You feel them in your bones, in the blood thrumming through your veins. The chamber dims as if the prophecy itself darkens the room. The glowing runes falter, flicker, and then fade.
When silence returns, Elyria steps down from the dais, her expression unreadable.
"You are the Tenth Thread," she whispers. “Child of ash and flame. Hope’s edge lies with you... or ends with you.”

The fall of Threads Date: 1067 - Aeonis-mid-Lunarenith (1067-01-13) Location: Elsarys - a dark vision from the Oracle --------------------
Within the sanctum of the temple, the silence grows dense, as if the stone itself holds its breath. Elyria stands before you, eyes unfocused, as though staring through time. Then, she moves—graceful and deliberate—and takes your hands in hers. Her skin is cool, almost unnaturally so, and her touch sends a shiver through your spine. Slowly, she leans forward, resting her forehead against yours. Her voice is barely a breath in your mind:
“What I show you now is not fate, but one of many threads. The darkest of them all.”
The chamber fades. Your body remains still—but your spirit is torn from the present.
You fall into a future wreathed in horror.
Seven years ahead. Two winters since the Veil was torn asunder.
The world is aflame.
Ash rains from the sky like black snow. The air tastes of blood and burning iron. The screams come first—distant, rising, then abruptly cut off. In the horizon, spires crumble. Mountains have been shattered. Rivers run red and thick. You hear the shrieks of children, the wails of the dying, the howls of monsters. The sky is a twisted canvas of violet storm clouds veined with crackling green lightning. Nothing natural remains.
Winged horrors glide overhead, their shadows stretching like talons over a scorched plain. Great beasts stitched from void and bone march across shattered cities, their laughter inhuman and gurgling. Demons hunt in packs, dragging survivors from the rubble. No mercy. No pause.
You stand amid the ruins of what was once a sanctuary. You see them: the nine champions. Bound. Broken. Hovering in the air, suspended by threads of black flame. Their armor shattered, their bodies scarred with ancient runes now corrupted.
One of them—a dwarf you recognize from tales, the Hammer of Belanor—lets out a final, guttural cry. A massive serpent-like demon coils around him and bites down. You hear the crunch of bone, the tearing of flesh. His scream lingers far longer than it should.
The others are already gone. Devoured. Defiled. Forgotten.
And you? You remain.
Chained to a monolith forged from weeping stone, your body trembling, not from fear—but fury.
Then… she comes.
Nyx. The Primordial Chaos.
She moves like a nightmare given flesh. Her skin is shadow incarnate, her hair a flowing veil of starlit void. Her eyes contain no iris, no pupil—only an endless abyss. Her smile is not cruel. It is triumphant.
She steps toward you, slowly, and with each footfall, reality cracks.
Her voice is a melody of ruin:
“You were warned, child of ash and flame. But the thread you chose… led here.”
She lifts her hand.
A jagged blade of pure unmaking shimmers into being, poised above your heart.
She looks you in the eyes one final time, and whispers:
“All things end in silence.”
Then—blackness surges.
And you scream.
But no sound escapes.

A glimpse too bright Date: 1060 - Tyrian-ult-Judicarnith(1060-10-27) Location: Temple of Maranwë, Main Chamber --------------------
Your mind is still raw, the echoes of screams and flame from the dark vision clawing at your thoughts. Elyria’s touch lingers on your skin, warm and strange, like a fading dream. But her voice, gentle as a lullaby, draws you back.
“Not all threads lead to ruin,” she murmurs. “Let me show you what still can be.”
Her fingers brush your temple. The world blurs, and you fall forward into light.
You awaken in a sun-drenched glade. Birds sing in the branches of trees heavy with blossom. A soft wind stirs tall grass kissed with golden morning dew. Children laugh in the distance. Beyond the glade, a city rises—rebuilt, radiant, whole. Spires gleam in the sunlight, and banners of all nations fly together. You feel warmth in your chest, not fire this time, but peace. The war is over. You see familiar faces among the people—friends, allies, even some champions you’ve not yet met, alive and laughing. The sky above is unmarred, the stars unbroken.
Nyx is gone.
The world has healed.
Yet something... isn't right.
The longer you stay, the heavier your limbs feel. Laughter begins to echo strangely, like distant whispers in a tunnel. The light is too soft, the smiles too perfect. A wrongness blooms in your gut—unshaped, but certain.
A sharp pain lances through your mind.
Your eyes snap open.
You're back in the main chamber of the temple. The soft silver glow of the threads pulses gently in the carved walls. Elyria stands before you—serene, unaware.
But something moves behind her.
A cloaked figure, blade drawn, bearing the black sigil of a broken eye—the mark of Nyx.
You barely have time to shout. The assassin lunges, steel flashing toward Elyria’s heart.

The Summoning of Crowns Date: 1061 - Aeonis-prim-Serisnith (1061-01-02) Location: Temple of Maranwë, Grand Chamber --------------------
You had saved her—Elyria, the Oracle of Threads—from the assassin’s blade, but the shadow that lingered in his wake was far from vanquished.
The temple breathes with newfound urgency. Gone is the meditative calm; now, every corridor feels like a taut string waiting to snap. In the wake of the attempt on her life, Elyria moves with solemn purpose. From the sanctum of woven fate, she activates the temple’s ancient portal: a gleaming veil of silver and sapphire light that ripples like the surface of a sacred pool.
Messengers, cloaked in her blessing and bearing her seal, vanish into the portal—each bound for one of the great powers of Elsarys. The message is clear: the Oracle of Threads calls the rulers to council—not in request, but in necessity.
Two days pass.
Then, the portal stirs.
First come the elves—High King Aelthorn Lyarien and High Queen Sylwen Elanwe of the Moonstone Vale. Their presence feels like a page torn from a timeless song: serene, ancient, and watchful.
Next, the dwarves—Stone King Thrain Ironfury with his thunderous gait, and Stone Queen Helga Blackanvil-Ironfur, whose steady voice commands stone and soldier alike.
From the Divine Empire of Sildoria arrive Emperor Alric V Aurelius and his Empress, Lysandra Valerius-Aurelius—radiant in their divine regalia, walking beneath the weight of their gods.
Then the beastkin of Velescia: the Elder’s Council—Shaman Renardis Swiftpaw, Nymeris Shadowwhisper, Bronn Ironsong, Mirabel Thistletail, and Fenrir Stormfang—each bearing the scent of the wild and the wisdom of generations.
Lastly, from the arcane heart of Eshthil, the Prime Sorcerer Alaric Nerrada steps forth alone, his eyes shadowed with distant galaxies, his presence quiet and unreadable.
Within the grand circular chamber of the Temple, beneath the ever-turning Loom of Threads, they gather. The loom’s glimmering strands flicker and twist, echoing the tension now held in every breath.
Elyria, still visibly weakened but resolute, addresses them.
She speaks first of the assassin. The mark on his skin—the crescent shard of Nyx—matches the ancient sigil of a sect long thought destroyed.
“Sixty years ago,” she says, her voice a somber chime in the stone chamber, “the Sons of the Night were dismantled. Their doctrine crushed, their temples shattered. But chaos does not die—it sleeps. And now it stirs once more.”
Whispers pass like wind through the chamber.
Then, Elyria turns her gaze to you.
“He has seen it,” she says, eyes gleaming with moonlight. “The Tenth Thread’s burden. The world drowned in ash and flame. The Prophecy of Ten Threads has begun to unravel. And if we do nothing—Nyx will rise again.”
Her final words settle over the rulers like a shroud:
“Five winters remain.”

No shortcut to fate Date: 1061 - Aeonis-prim-Lunarethnith(1061-01-04) Location: Temple of Maranwë --------------------
The temple was quieter now. The echoes of crowned voices, of arguments and revelations, had faded into memory. Each ruler had returned to their realm, stepping one by one into the shimmering veil of the teleportation portal, carrying the weight of fate on their shoulders. Only the hum of ancient magic lingered in the chamber now—soft, watchful.
You stood before the portal, armor freshly fastened, mind set with purpose. Beyond the veil lay Vulpesia, the coastal heart of the beastkin lands. And somewhere within its winding streets and tide-swept shrines, Luparia awaited—a priestess of Gracefeel, bound by divinity and doomed by prophecy. If nothing changed, she would die in six months at the hands of the Sons of the Night.
Your fingers hovered inches from the spellwoven surface of the gate when Elyria’s voice rose behind you. Calm, as ever, but with a firm undercurrent.
"Not that way."
You turned. The Oracle of Threads stood there, cloaked in the fading light of prophecy, her silver-threaded hair flowing like water down her shoulders, eyes distant, seeing paths you could not.
"This portal leads to the darkest of ends," she said, stepping closer. “A path where you arrive too soon… too untested. Where you fail to stop what must not come to pass.”
You frowned. “But if I walk, I may be too late.”
She shook her head gently. “You must walk because time is not your enemy—ignorance is. You must learn the lands, feel the weight of their fears, witness the cracks in this world. You are not just a blade in the dark, {{user}}. You are to be the flame that guides others through it.”
The chamber fell silent.
Elyria raised her hand. A soft glow pulsed in your satchel. “I have marked your path. The threads are in motion. Vulpesia awaits, yes—but so do trials that will shape you. Trust the journey.”
You took a breath and stepped back from the portal. It flickered quietly behind you, a tempting shortcut denied. Ahead lay the road—winding, dangerous, alive.
And as you turned to leave the temple of Maranwë, you could feel it in your chest: your story was no longer being written in whispers and visions. It would now be carved in dust, fire, and blood.

The great chamber had emptied. The rulers had returned to their thrones, the voices of power now echoes fading in the marbled silence. Outside, the wind of the high cliffs moaned softly — not as a warning, but as a lullaby. The storm had not yet begun, but all could feel its promise.
You were preparing to rest before your departure. The road to Velescia would be long, perilous. But you had faced peril before. What you hadn't expected… was the soft knock on your door.
Elyria stood there in the lamplight, not in her usual robes of prophecy, but a simple gown of starlit silk — elegant, shadow-soft, unburdened by her title. Her silver hair was loose, eyes calm but shadowed with something deeper than foresight.
“I asked the stars for time,” she said, voice quiet. “And they gave me one evening.”
She guided you through a hidden corridor, past forgotten prayer-rooms and ancient murals, to a secluded terrace of the temple. A stone table was set under the open sky, candles flickering in the night breeze, the distant sea far below. Wine from the vineyards of Sildoria, fruits from the orchards of Lunaria, wild honey and spiced bread. A table set with care, not ceremony.
“I wanted to thank you,” Elyria whispered as you sat across from her. “Not as the Oracle. Just… as Elyria.”
The meal was gentle, conversation tender — about the stars, the lands you’d seen, childhood memories neither of you thought would matter again. Laughter came softly. The weight of fate — for one moment — lifted.
And then, as the wind died and the moon crowned the cliffs in silver, she reached for your hand across the table. Her fingers were warm. Her eyes shimmered — not with visions, but vulnerability.
“After this, your path belongs to destiny,” she said. “But tonight… let it belong to you.”
What followed, whether simple silence or a deeper closeness, was not written in any thread. It was yours. A single night carved out of fate. A memory to carry when the fires begin to burn.
