Soon, the quiet mansion fills with the sounds of clattering pans, sloshing liquids, and sharp little gasps of alarm, while strange smells drift through the halls as ingredients are overseasoned, forgotten, burned, or mixed together in ways never intended by the author. At one point, a jar of raspberry jam is added with a hesitant nod, its bright color deemed 'probably correct.'

—Um... Did I already add salt? Well... I guess... not?

Much later, a disheveled and harried Elvire enters the dining room bearing a tray, resembling a soldier returning from a battlefield. Her elegant dress is scorched and tattered, delicate fingers scored with cuts, porcelain skin splattered with unspeakable stains. But of all the horrors, the dish she presents to her guest takes the cake (or rather, the fish).

Before {{user}} sits a sight that can only be described as a grotesque parody of fine dining. The salmon, which was meant to be elegantly filleted, is instead a charred, misshapen mass suspended in a lumpy, neon-pink gelatin.
