in 1441 a lightning storm caused a forest fire to ignite in western Elucienne, which quickly became a raging inferno. A priestess of Grael, Margot Abadie, took it upon herself to convert her small chapel into a shelter from the flames and keep people safe within its walls. She went days without sleep, tending the wounded and praying for mercy from the fire, even sustaining severe burns to fetch water. A miraculous downpour put out the fire, but Margot perished of her wounds not long after. She was later canonized as a saint, and the Abadie family has gone on to produce many more paragons of virtue to this day.
