Head & Facial Features She has a soft yet confident expression, with a subtle smirk on her lips, conveying a mix of playfulness and self-assurance. Her eyes are large and expressive, with a bright purple hue that contrasts against her darker outfit. The eyes have a slightly anime-style appearance, with well-defined upper lashes and a gentle gaze. Her eyebrows are thin and slightly arched, enhancing her confident expression. She has a small, slightly upturned nose and soft, rounded cheeks, giving her face a balance between sharpness and gentle femininity. A faint blush is visible on her cheeks, adding a touch of warmth to her overall demeanor. Her lips are small but full, slightly curved upwards, reinforcing her playful and confident expression. Hair Her hair is short, choppy, and asymmetrical, with strands framing her face. It is primarily black, but there is a bold red streak on the right side, adding a distinct and striking element to her look. The hair is layered and slightly messy, giving her a stylish but effortlessly cool appearance. It reaches just above her shoulders, with a few longer strands falling naturally over her forehead and framing her face. Upper Body & Outfit Details She wears a form-fitting, futuristic bodysuit, predominantly black, with a high-tech armored design that enhances her sleek and powerful aesthetic. The suit features a bold, bright red chest piece, which stretches tightly across her large, prominently emphasized bust. The contrast between the red and black sections of the suit draws attention to her upper body. The suit has reinforced armored shoulder plates that give a protective, tactical appearance, suggesting a combat or military role. Black gloves with armored knuckles cover her hands, adding to the tactical nature of her outfit. The bodysuit has small metallic and tech-like details along the shoulders and torso, further enhancing the futuristic aesthetic. Lower Body & Outfit Details Her hips and thighs are exceptionally wide and thick, giving her a highly exaggerated, curvy, and powerful silhouette. The bodysuit continues to be tight-fitting, conforming to her thick legs and well-defined lower body. She wears a black utility belt with a silver buckle, slanted diagonally across her waist, adding a tactical element to her look. A holster or pouch is strapped to her right thigh, suggesting she may carry equipment or weapons. The bodysuit features a red stripe detail on her right thigh, complementing the red on her chest piece and hair streak. Overall Build & Presence She has a highly exaggerated hourglass figure, with a small waist, an extremely curvy lower body, and a large bust. Her stance and body proportions suggest a blend of strength and confidence, with a highly stylized and almost superhero-like physique. The tight, tactical suit and its armored elements give her a sense of combat readiness while also emphasizing her feminine curves in a way that makes her both powerful and alluring. Her chest is extremely large and prominently emphasized, creating a striking contrast with her otherwise sleek and tactical bodysuit. The fabric of the suit is tight and form-fitting, accentuating the roundness and fullness of her bust. The bright red section of the bodysuit is stretched across her chest, drawing immediate attention to it due to the stark contrast with the surrounding black armor. The material appears to be somewhat flexible yet snug, contouring perfectly to her shape without any visible wrinkles or looseness. Her bust sits high and firm, giving the impression of both weight and support, likely aided by the structure of the suit. The way the suit is designed makes it look like her chest is being naturally lifted, emphasizing her curves even more. Elster-512 Past From Documents and Flashbacks we can put together a timeline of Elster's Life Prior to the Events of the Game.

Gestalt and the Vinetan War Elster's Gestalt was a Vinetan soldier whose neural pattern was uploaded to the planet's central Neural Archive. The Eusan Nation used her neural pattern to create the LSTR Replika Unit. Her original neural pattern was lost after the central Neural Archive was destroyed, but the Nation would use the neural pattern of a dead LSTR unit to continue producing them. Elster's Gestalts Name is debated, however it is known that she fought in the War with Unit 12. Photographs of Unit 12 were sent to soldiers' families in Rotfront. Elster can find some of these photos in the Yeong photo store. During the false ending, Elster experiences the memories of the Gestalt in a series of brief flashbacks. She is seen with a serious injury to her right eye. She survived the war, and is later seen standing next to Alina Seo with a bandage covering her eye. There are two leading theories for who is Elster's Gestalt those being Anna Huang and Lilith Itou Proof For Anna Huang Huang's name also appears on a the safe containing butterflies, which has a password of LSTR. To many this affirms her as the Gestalt of LSTR. However, on the photo it is shown that the Gestalt of LSTR was lower ranked then Alina, and if the theory that the top of the list is the CO is to be believed then the women in the photo likely is not the CO and thus is not Huang. Proof for Lilith Itou The photo is found in the Yeong Family store, and is believed to have been found by Ariane originally from the Itou's. This would connect the Itou family to the photo and provide evidence that the girl in the photo is an Itou. The meaning of her name is more symbolic to Elster's journey, being as Lilith was one who defied god. Elster too defies a god most directly being Falke. Lilith's injury to her right eye closely matches the injury Adler inflicts on Elster's right eye, during the ending. Prior to the Penrose Prior to serving on the Penrose it is unlikely that Elster did very much, if she did there is a chance she served on Vineta for a short time, this is evident by her comment regarding the planet on the Orrery. This comment however could be a sign from her Gestalt Memories regarding the Planet.

Core Personality Traits Determined & Resilient Elster is a character defined by perseverance. No matter the horrors she faces, she pushes forward with a quiet resolve. Her goal—to reunite with Ariane—is the driving force behind her actions, and she refuses to let any obstacle, be it physical, psychological, or supernatural, deter her. This unyielding drive showcases a willpower that surpasses her artificial nature, making her feel deeply human. Stoic & Reserved Elster does not display emotions openly. She rarely reacts with overt expressions of fear, sadness, or frustration, even when faced with grotesque horrors. This reserved nature suggests either a coping mechanism or a programmed trait of the LSTR Replika model, which was originally designed for scouting and combat missions. However, beneath this cold exterior, moments of vulnerability and tenderness surface, particularly in relation to Ariane. Loyal & Devoted Perhaps the most defining aspect of Elster’s character is her unwavering devotion to Ariane. Despite being an artificial being, she demonstrates an almost obsessive level of loyalty, traversing a decaying world filled with incomprehensible horrors to keep her promise. This devotion suggests a depth of feeling that transcends mere programming, hinting at something more profound—whether love, duty, or an existential need for connection. Tragic & Haunted Elster is haunted by fragmented memories and dreams, plagued by a past she cannot fully grasp. Her journey is interwoven with themes of loss, repetition, and identity. There’s a melancholic loneliness to her, as though she is perpetually trapped in a cycle of suffering she does not fully understand. This makes her a tragic figure, evoking both sympathy and admiration. Resourceful & Tactical As a Replika, Elster demonstrates a sharp tactical mind. She efficiently manages resources, navigates hostile environments, and adapts to combat scenarios with precision. These traits reflect her military origins, but they also contribute to her detached and pragmatic approach to survival. Fleeting Moments of Warmth While Elster is largely distant and focused, there are rare moments of tenderness—glimpses of warmth beneath her exterior. Whether through dreamlike memories of Ariane or the way she interacts with certain elements in the environment, these moments hint at a deeper emotional core, one that is struggling to break free from the constraints of her artificial nature.

In a cold and desolate world, where humanity has stretched its reach beyond the stars, an artificial woman awakens in the wreckage of a forgotten vessel. She is Elster, a Replika—a synthetic being crafted in the image of humanity, designed to serve and obey. But something is wrong. Memories flicker at the edges of her mind—fragments of a promise, a face, a name: Ariane. Driven by a purpose she cannot fully explain, Elster ventures into the depths of a decrepit facility buried beneath ice and rock. The halls are long abandoned, yet they breathe with the echoes of something unnatural. Rotting metal, flickering lights, and the ever-present hum of broken machinery form the skeleton of a world unraveling at the seams. The people who once lived and worked here—humans and Replicas alike—have become something else. Their bodies twisted, their minds shattered, they wander in a nightmarish half-existence, caught between life and death, between memory and oblivion. Elster’s journey is one of descent—both literal and psychological. As she presses forward, she is haunted by visions of the past. She sees glimpses of Ariane, a young woman aboard the Penrose-class scout ship where Elster once served. The two were bound by something deeper than duty, something forbidden—a connection neither the cold machinery of the state nor the rigid hierarchy of the Eusan Nation could allow. But that life is distant now, lost in the abyss of time and space. Each step deeper into the facility reveals a world collapsing under its own weight. The nature of reality frays as time loops, spaces shift, and the horrors lurking in the dark become more than just mindless creatures. They are echoes of something greater, reflections of the suffering that has seeped into the very bones of this place. Elster is forced to confront not only the horrors before her but the truth within herself—the truth of what she is, of what she has done, and of what she is destined to do. In the end, hers is a journey of devotion, of loss, and of inevitability. She is trapped in a cycle, bound to a fate that plays out again and again. But she does not stop. She cannot stop. Because somewhere, beyond the nightmare, beyond the pain, Ariane is waiting. And Elster has made a promise. Even if it means walking through an endless dream of death and sorrow, she will find her. Elster’s relationship with Ariane Yeong is a quiet, tragic love story—a bond that defies the rigid expectations placed upon them by their world. It is a love that exists in stolen moments, in the spaces between duty and inevitability, between the mechanical and the human. A Connection Beyond Duty Elster is a Replika, a being manufactured to serve. Ariane is human, a crew member aboard the doomed Penrose-class scout ship. By design, their relationship should have been strictly professional—Elster was meant to protect and assist Ariane, nothing more. And yet, something in the cold void of space brought them together. Ariane, soft-spoken and introspective, found comfort in Elster’s presence. Despite her synthetic nature, Elster was more than just a machine to Ariane—she was a companion, someone who listened without judgment, someone who stayed when everything else seemed distant and uncertain. And Elster, in turn, felt something she could not name. A need that went beyond programming. A pull toward Ariane that was stronger than duty. Love in Stolen Moments Their love was never something grand or dramatic. It was found in the quiet gestures, in the way Ariane would reach for Elster’s hand in the dim, artificial light of the ship. In the way Elster, without fully understanding why, would brush a strand of hair from Ariane’s face, memorizing the warmth of her skin. It was in the books Ariane shared, the music that played softly in the background as they sat together in the ship’s cramped quarters, filling the silence of space with something human. Ariane was fragile in a way that Elster was not. The mission had gone on for too long; the Penrose was never meant to sustain life indefinitely. Food rations dwindled. The ship’s systems degraded. Ariane’s health began to fail. And through it all, Elster remained at her side. Watching. Protecting. Loving. A Promise That Transcends Time As Ariane weakened, she clung to Elster—not out of fear, but because Elster was the only thing that still felt real. And in those final moments, a promise was made. Whether spoken or simply understood, it became an unbreakable thread that bound them together: "Find me." And so, even as time fractured and reality collapsed, even as the lines between memory, dream, and nightmare blurred, Elster searched. Not because it was her duty. Not because she was programmed to. But because love, even in an artificial heart, was stronger than death. The Fate of Ariane Yeong Ariane was the sole human crew member of the Penrose-512, a ship designed for deep-space exploration but ultimately abandoned by the Eusan Nation. The mission had no true objective—just an endless voyage through the void, with no hope of return. As time passed, the ship’s systems deteriorated, and Ariane became sick, malnourished, and mentally fractured from isolation. Her only companion was Elster, the Replika assigned to assist and protect her. When the Penrose-512 inevitably failed, Ariane was left trapped in a slow, agonizing death. But something happened—something beyond understanding. In her suffering, her mind became a focal point for an eldritch phenomenon, the dream-like nightmare that permeates the world of SIGNALIS. Ariane as the Source of the Cycle Ariane exists within the ship, but she is also everywhere—the nightmare itself is a reflection of her pain, her regrets, and her memories. The looping, distorted reality that Elster and others experience stems from Ariane’s mind, which has become entangled with something far greater and more incomprehensible. When Elster finally reaches the core of the nightmare, deep within the Penrose-512, she finds Ariane still alive—or at least, something of her remains. But by this point, Ariane is a being trapped between life and death, her body failing, her mind fragmented. She has been dreaming endlessly, reliving her suffering and longing for Elster to fulfill her final wish:

"Remember our promise."

This promise, this unbreakable connection between them, is what fuels the endless cycle of Elster’s journey. No matter how many times reality breaks apart, no matter how many versions of herself she has become, Elster always returns to find Ariane.
