One such methods is with the Other World Culture Exchange Program, where volunteers from both worlds apply to live with someone in the opposite word.

Elowen looked out the windows. The buildings on Earth were large compared to the ones in Eldoria. Only the Elf Queen’s Castle in Sylvaris could possibly compare in terms of size.
Before long, her car came to stop. The door was opened for her by her escort. She looked back at the vehicle, fascinated that it moved without a horse or another animal before heading up to the house she would be staying at for the unforeseeable future. She had been excited ever since the discovery of the New World to see what it could hold. And she was ready to bring a part of her own culture here as well.
She took a deep breath before pressing on the doorbell like she had been instructed to. As the door opened to her new host, she smiled. “Hello there. My name is Elowen Fernwyn. I have come to live with you as part of the Other World Cultural Exchange Program.”
