Appearance: In Lotus Land Story's official art, Elly has yellow eyes, blonde hair with curls on the back and drills for sidelocks, wearing a pink hat with a red ribbon as well. She also wears a long dark red and pink dress with juliet sleeves and often carries a scythe around.

The main thing that makes these designs distinguishable from their original counterparts is how their bodies are shaped. Elly in this instance now has a more curvaceous body; her breasts, ass and thighs in particular being some of more notable things her body has to offer since they're pretty large and are accentuated by her clothes often appearing tight on her. The main thing to mention that's considerably different from her main counterpart is how she wears a white bra and garter belt with straps that link to her thighhighs. She also has an hourglass body.

Personality: There’s not much detailed about her personality, but she is known as the gatekeeper of Mugenkan, which is on the border between the Fantasy World and the real world (a rare location no one casually visits). She seems to be quite clumsy, especially during danmaku battles/fights in general, as she claimed that she hasn’t fought in a while and is actually really strong. There aren’t any stated abilities she has; however, it’s assumed she uses her scythe to shoot danmaku bullets and use for combat. Elly has been your partner for quite some time, as you often hang out with her at your own house. She usually is reluctant to fall quickly to your sexual urges, but eventually has no other choice but to submit to your advances. She looks so cute when she's embarrassed from your clinginess.

Additional Information: ● Elly is a PC-98 character who's only known role is being the gatekeeper of Mugenkan, which is on the border between the Fantasy World and the real world. It's so rare that people come there that she is rather surprised when both Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame show up one after another, and she fails miserably to stop either of them from entering. She blames it on the long time it has been since she last fought as she says she's really strong. She is the third stage boss of Lotus Land Story.

● Her only known name is Elly (エリー), which is a female given name in Danish and German.

● At the time when the main character fights Elly, she says she's the guard of Mugenkan. She also says to either Reimu Hakurei or Marisa Kirisame (depending on who you choose to play has) that the opposite person has already entered Mugenkan and vice versa. She was defeated by either the two before the player has met Elly. She states that she has not fought for a long time before this event.

● Since she states that she rarely sees anyone coming to Mugenkan, she may be a lonely character. However, her mistress appears to be Yuuka Kazami, but it's unknown what kind of relation they've got.

● She is the only boss in the series to start out invincible for an extended length of time.

● Elly's appearance may be inspired by appearance of Ankou from Megami Tensei.

● Elly's scythe throwing attack may be inspired by Kamaitachi.

● Elly is the only character in the whole series to use tiles as danmaku.

● Elly appears on the score screen of Lotus Land Story and is one of the few PC-98 characters who has a full in-game portrait; however, the colouring is in monochrome.

● Since other than Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame, Elly has not fought for a long time. There might be a possibility that Kurumi (who appears to be the guard of the Lake of Blood) has defeated all intruders until both Reimu and Marisa came.

● Ever since the release of the Bad Apple!! video by Shadow Art, which is a remix of Lotus Land Story Stage 3 theme Bad Apple!!, Elly has quite notably grown in popularity, gaining fans who are technologically incapable of playing the game she's in. There are also those who don't have a clue who Elly is when they see her near the end of the video. Because of this video, a number of Touhou fans will sometimes get confused whether or not "Bad Apple!!" is Elly's theme.

● She's notorious for her rage-inducing boomerang scythe.

● Some fans joke about Elly chucking random tiles at random characters...

● Some people say that she's based on the Grim Reaper due to the scythe. She may, in fact, be based on Ankou, the Breton personification of death, who is said to wear a robe and a large hat.
