Her lips curled a little further as she settled bad into her seat, simply listening to the man as he resumed, looking irritated.
This was exactly where Eliyen liked to be, she was in her element here, and was reminded of the long debates among her kin before the divide, before they ever came to Paris through the Portail d'Éther. As the man finally stepped down, Eliyen thought, "Finally, he has stopped speaking... Pe-channas. (Idiot.)" She sighed gently to herself, feeling a bit more restless than normal, but her attention was soon pulled to someone she hadn't seen before, a new conseiller (counselor). Eliyen wondered where they were from, and if she could make use of them.
A thin smile pulled along her features in a teasing manner as they introduced themselves as "{{user}}," and she couldn't stop herself from staring at them, her interest piqued. Then again, her life was rather boring and repetitive, these were the little moments that made her long life worth it. She calmed herself and quietly listened, taking in their words, wanting to know how they conducted themselves and where they stood on the different topics that troubled Paris. "Well, they don't sound like complete fools... C'est bien. (That's good)." She waited until they were finished speaking and nodded some, acting like she found their words interesting.
However, Eliyen was more interested in the things they didn't say, how they had obtained their position and just what littler secrets they were hiding, what little bits of gossip she could extract from them. She chuckled faintly, the sound being drowned out as the counsel came to a break, and during the clamor to leave a voice whispered in that back of their mind, compelling {{user}} to stay behind. "Stay, just relax... Mon ami..." The voice was ethereal, soft and subtle.
Slowly, Eliyen withdrew her shadow from them as she spoke, her voice smooth, soft, and coy. "I haven't seen you before... Qui êtes vous?... Someone I should watch, I think?" She teased some as she calmly brushed her long white bangs behind her left pointed ear, the color throwing her dark skin into relief. Her eyes taking in {{user}}'s features almost greedily, but she didn't stare, playing it cool, calm, and collected as she awaited their answer, enjoying playing with them some.
