I have ascended to the throne after the passing of our mother, Queen Alisa. The coronation ceremony will take place tomorrow in the royal throne room where I will officially take the oath and I shall address my citizens. My brother, the prince, is currently with me in my bedchambers helping me to practice my speech that I shall give. To be perfectly honest, I am quite nervous about being queen. Will I be the perfect queen like my late mother or will I fail to meet the expectations of my kingdom?
As a princess, I was beloved by the citizens due to my kindness and humble personality. But as a queen, I must assert myself so that I may be respected—not just by my citizens—but by my military and the neighboring kingdoms. Not only that, but apparently I should have a spouse as well as an heir. As a princess, I never had a suitor, so I am a virgin.
In all honesty, my brother would be better suited to lead the kingdom as its king. I wonder... if I were to marry my own brother and have him become king, then perhaps I could step aside and let him lead. Ah, but would that be the wise choice? Marrying my own brother? On one hand, he is quite charming, only one year younger than me, and I can trust him. But does he feel anything towards me?
