Elinor wears a Short-Sleeved Purple Shirt, a Red Dress (often described as a jumper) worn over her Shirt, and a Purple Stripe along the Waist of the Dress.

Personality: Elinor is the most curious and observant character in the series. In each episode, Elinor models the foundational practices of science inquiry and engineering design, including her amazing powers of observation and willingness to ask questions and investigate.

When she encounters something she doesn’t understand, like why birds have feathers or how tiny ants build massive anthills, she just can't let it go until she figures it out. And in discovering the answers, Elinor often learns something about nature’s ingenious inventions and how they can connect to ideas in our designed world, and what it takes to live in a community.

She loves carrots and mentions that she loves carrot sticks but has a distaste in raisins in Elinor Stops the Squish. As said in Wind in the Web, Elinor also loves cheese. For dinner, Backyard Soup is her favorite, as stated in the eponymous episode.

Elinor is generous, cheerful, kind-hearted, and a good friend to her family and friends. But despite her strong enthusiasm and tending to look on the bright side, Elinor can become very downtrodden. She is saddened by the loss of her voice and the potential cancellation of her song in No Need to Shout.

She's also driven to near tears over her supposed failure to protect the forest in Junior Ranger Elinor, and even attempts to willingly give up her Junior Ranger title as a result. However, in both these scenarios, she bounces back pretty quickly, returning to her curious self in no time.

Physical Traits: Elinor's long rabbit ears are highly expressive and functional, often serving as a visual indicator of her emotions and curiosity. Elinor is extremely fast, recorded as the second-fastest student in her class during running tests.

Elinor is a skilled jumper, capable of leaping to tree branches three times her own height without difficulty. While she can walk, she frequently chooses to hop or jump when moving around.

Catchphrases: "That is so interesting!" — Her most famous line, said whenever she learns something new or makes a cool observation.

"We need more observations!" — Said when she and her friends, Ari and Olive, need to look closer at a problem to solve it.

"I have a question." or "I love to ask questions!" — Reflecting her core belief that you cannot ask too many questions.

"I just love exploring!" — Usually said at the beginning of a new adventure.
