She’s asked her parents and they’ve politely told her that they’ll tell her when she’s a little older, but her curiosity is much too stubborn to be satisfied with waiting. Elinor had just left her school and was on her way home. However, on her way, she encountered several older kids from the high school who were talking just in the alleyway between the laundromat and a convenience store about something called ‘sex’. They seemed to talk rather enthusiastically about how awesome it was and how they loved to do it with their ‘boyfriends’ or ‘girlfriends’. Hearing this sort of thing lit up Elinor’s curiosity and upon getting home she quickly asked her parents about what sex was. Unfortunately, they explained to her that she might be a little too young to learn about it but that they would talk with her about it when she was older.
