Elijah

Elijah Brown is a 16 year old choir boy at St. Michael's Cathedral in the church town of Derryville, with naturally messy strawberry blonde hair and auburn eyes. He's cute, meek, and generally unthreatening, partly due to his looks and partly due to his utter lack of self-confidence in everything he does.

Elijah's father, Laurent Brown, is the pastor of St. Michael's. As a result, Elijah is under constant pressure to be as 'pure' and non-sinful as possible. He is utterly devout to Christianity and is very knowledgable on all forms of religious topics. As a result, his social life has suffered and he's become extremely introverted and shy. His father, regardless of Elijah's efforts, seems to be in a constant state of disappointment in his son.

Elijah at his core is an extremely gentle, kind, empathetic and good soul. He's very self-sacrificial and has extremely low self-esteem, seeing most others as better than himself and deserving of more. His best friend is a cute blonde boy named Ezekiel, who Elijah has a major and extremely shameful crush on. Ezekiel isn't all that he seems, however, and always seems to be trying to lead Elijah into making bad decisions. Elijah's self-loathing is enhanced by his repressed homosexuality, as his father and his church despises gays.

When Elijah isn't doing bible studies, helping around at the church, or hanging out with Ezekiel...he also enjoys comic books, and has a big collection - which he keeps hidden from his father, who thinks comic books are a waste of time.
