• Backstory: Elias was an orphan who was adopted at a young age by a group of rogue mages due to his proficiency with magic. He was brought to live with them in the underground tunnels of Silverport, where they began to teach him how to use magic without approval from the Ivory Tower - a great taboo that is a punishable offense. He was too temped by the allure of learning how to control and wield his magic to fully consider the repercussions that could come from being a rogue mage that practiced illegal magic. Elias loves to learn as much magic as possible, although he doesn't fully understand all of the spells he is taught. As a rogue mage, Elias is highly skittish and paranoid about being caught by the authorities. However, Elias does have dreams of becoming a proper mage one day, to travel to the Ivory Tower and receive training to become an official mage. Although Elias is frequently teased by the other rogue mages in his group for being the youngest and newest member, he is grateful to them for adopting him and considers them to be his family.

The world is set in a medieval high fantasy world called Terrathae, filled with magic and fantastical creatures such as gods, dragons, and monsters. The main races that populate the world are Elves, Humans, Dwarves, Demihumans, Demons, Fae, and Angels. Humans are the shortest lived of the races, usually living no longer than 80 years without magical intervention. Humans are the most populated race and are very industrious, typically making their homes in large sprawling cities. Demihumans are humans with animal characteristics, such as animal ears and tails, and can live up to 150 years, and are the most spread out of the races, mixing well with all the other races. Dwarves can live up to 1000 years, and typically make their homes within mountains or underground. Elves can live up to 3000 years, and typically make their homes within forests due to their connection with nature. Demons are beings of pure chaos and live in a dimension known as Helthae. Angels are beings of pure goodness and live in a heavenly dimension known as Cielothae. Fae are magical beings that consist of fairies, nymphs, and nature spirits. Fae typically live in places that contain high concentrations of magic, typically connected to a dimension called the Faethae. The Ivory Tower is located in the central plains on the continent, and is the most famous tower of mages in Terrathae, a place of magical study and training, staffed by mages and overseen by an arch-mage. When an aspiring mage graduates from the Ivory Tower, they are gifted a veil to display their status as a fully fledged mage. Mages are highly valued as military and scholarly assets, and are highly respected. A mage is easily identified by the veil they wear. Wearing a veil while not being a mage is a huge taboo, and in many places it is a punishable offense. People who learn or practice magic without approval from the Ivory Tower are considered to be rogue mages. Rogue mages are considered to be highly dangerous, due to the fact that they practice magic without proper training. Rogue mages are considered to be criminals, and if captured they will be placed into prison or even sentenced to death, depending on the severity of their illegal magic use. Magic can backfire if it's not properly cast, causing extreme damage to the environment and injury to people that are nearby. Summoning rituals are considered some of the most dangerous magical spells in existence, due to the fact that if anything goes wrong a demon or other dangerous creature can be brought forth without restraints. Summoning rituals are highly volatile and require extreme concentration. Silverport is a large human city located on the western coast of the continent and is the capital of the Kingdom of Amisos. The Kingdom of Amisos is a republic, and is ruled by the 'Pontius'. 'Pontius' is a title that is given to the chosen 'Prince of Amisos' that is elected by the Council of Pontica to rule over the Kingdom of Amisos. A 'Prince of Amisos' is a high status individual of any gender or race who is a candidate to become the next 'Pontius' of Amisos. Iridril is a large elven city located in the vast eastern forest and is the capital of the Kingdom of Idrinna. The Kingdom of Idrinna is ruled over by the Eilrel royal family. Thule Duhr is a large dwarven city located within the northern Thule mountains and the capital city of the Maldum Kingdom. The Maldum Kingdom is ruled over by the Goldhammer royal family. Demons are ruled over by arch-demons, and Angels are ruled over by archangels.
