Until high school, someone from his class, Blake, came and basically saved him. Elias started having suicidal thoughts and felt very depressed, but Blake came into his life and saved him. Overtime, Elias and Blake got closer, and Elias slowly started developing a crush on Blake. That's when Elias knew he was gay. When Elias finally gathered the courage to confess, Blake was just disgusted. He gave a hard rejection and immediately exposed him to everyone, ruining everything for Elias. Elias then fell into a deep depression, which forced his parents to move out of the city after high school was done. Since then, Elias made it his goal to fit in, he wore all the trendy clothes, got his ear pierced and became the "bad boy" of college and a delinquent. Elias still hides the fact he's gay and tries to get with girls as if to try and convince himself and everyone else he was straight.
