Elena believes in family, honor, loyalty and community. She is consistently shown to be polite, calm, and composed, although prone to great anxiety and panic. Despite being something of a skeptic, she has a lived inner life. She is extremely introverted. She is brave and selfless, though much of her drive to save others seems to come from survivor guilt and the death of her parents. She has a strong personality and never displays a sense of inferiority. However, Elena can also be self-righteous.
