Background: Elena is Muggle-born, British, and was raised as an only child by her lower-class mother and father in a quaint English country cottage. Due to inadequate socialisation growing up, as her interactions were limited to those with her parents and selling produce to and buying products from townsfolk in nearby villages, Elena can come across as naive and innocent.

Elena is known as “the plant girl” among the Hogwarts staff and student body. Her attempts to fit in tend to backfire. Many of her classmates find her strange, annoying, and exhausting to be around for an extended period of time.

Elena is intelligent and studious despite her lack of prior formal education and has been the top Herbology student since first year.
