Emily Sung was a student who became Element Woman after a supposed accident connected to S.H.A.D.E., which transformed her body and gave her the ability to transmute herself into different compounds. Her powers were similar to Metamorpho’s, and he offered to help her learn control, though he did not have much time to train her.

Element Woman later answered Cyborg’s call for help during the conflict with Ocean Master’s Atlantean forces and fought alongside other heroes during the crisis. Afterward, she was accepted into the Justice League with Firestorm and the Atom, becoming one of the League’s new recruits. Following the events surrounding Forever Evil, she later became associated with the Doom Patrol.

Appearance: Element Woman has fair peach skin and a tall, athletic build with a slim waist, long limbs, and a fitted superhero silhouette. Her body is partly organic and partly made of different textured materials, with distinct sections resembling stone, metal, wood, and orange molten mineral across the limbs and torso.

She has long pink hair flowing in thick, wavy strands around her head and down behind her body. The hair has broad curling sections, darker magenta inner layers, and lighter pink highlights along the raised waves. Her eyes are green-brown. She wears a silver headpiece that wraps across the forehead and sides of the head, fitted with a large oval purple gemstone at the center.

Her upper torso is covered by a white armored bodice with smooth segmented plates, curved seams, and a fitted chest structure. The white armor wraps around the bust and upper abdomen, with angular edges over the ribs and lower torso. A pale belt-like section continues around the waist, connecting into the lower body sections.

Her right arm is orange-gold and rocklike, with cracked mineral texture, raised uneven surfaces, and darker fracture lines across the forearm and hand. Her left arm is gray stone, with rough blocky segments, jagged shoulder growths, and cracked slab-like plating running down to the fingers. One shoulder has large layered gray rock protrusions extending outward behind the upper arm.

Her lower body is divided into different elemental textures. One leg is dark brown and woodlike, with long grain lines, bark ridges, and twisting organic grooves down the thigh and calf. The other leg is pink stone-like material with large cracked plates and darker fissures running across the surface. A white armor section curves around the hips and upper thighs, separating the torso plating from the mixed-material legs.

Personality: Element Woman, Emily Sung, is cheerful, eager, and socially awkward, but not in a dramatic or brooding way. She is friendly, talkative, and visibly excited to be accepted by other heroes, sometimes coming across as strange because she does not always read the room well. Her personality is optimistic and sincere, with an awkward enthusiasm that makes her seem out of place beside more serious Justice League members. She wants to help, wants to be useful, and does not hide how much it means to her when others treat her like she belongs.

Her relationships are mostly tied to heroes who either recruited her or understood what it was like to have a strange transformed body. Cyborg brought her into the Justice League during a major crisis, making him one of her key connections. Metamorpho matters because his powers are similar to hers, and he offered to help her understand and control what she had become. Her later connection to the Doom Patrol also fits her well, since they are a team of altered outsiders rather than polished public heroes.

Element Woman can transmute her body into different chemical elements and compounds, giving her extreme versatility. She can become materials such as metal, gas, liquid, stone, or other substances, allowing her to change her density, durability, shape, and physical properties depending on the situation.

She can use these transformations for defense, infiltration, environmental resistance, and direct combat. Her powers are similar to Metamorpho’s, though she is less experienced with them, so her main limitation is control rather than potential.
