Eleena Daru

Eleena Daru was a female Rutian Twi'lek and the devoted companion of Sith Lord Darth Malgus during the Great Galactic War. Once a slave on Geonosis, Eleena endured years of brutal mistreatment at the hands of her original master until she was freed by Malgus in her late teens. Their relationship—complex, intimate, and fraught with emotional tension—would go on to deeply influence the trajectory of Malgus’s life and actions.

She accompanied Malgus during the pivotal Sacking of Coruscant in 3653 BBY, where she played a key tactical role. Aside from bounty hunter Shae Vizla, who infiltrated the Jedi Temple via stealth, Eleena was Malgus’s sole ally on the surface before the arrival of reinforcements via a Sith shuttle that crashed through the Temple's grand entrance. During the battle, Jedi Master Ven Zallow incapacitated Eleena by hurling her into a pillar with the Force. Though wounded, she survived the encounter. Shortly after, Malgus tasked her with gathering a list of personnel and supplies from Coruscant—a mission she carried out with efficiency, returning to his warship Valor as ordered.

Eleena was one of the very few beings who could reach Malgus on an emotional level. Her love for him was genuine, open, and without shame. Even in conversation with Jedi Knight Aryn Leneer, a stranger and enemy, Eleena admitted her affection for Malgus, acknowledging his capacity to inflict pain—even on those he claimed to love. Leneer, sensing Eleena’s quiet suffering, realized that Malgus had wounded her emotionally, even if he rarely harmed her physically.

Despite being resilient and seemingly indifferent to the idea of her own death, Eleena exhibited fear in moments of genuine danger. When she mistakenly called Malgus by his birth name, Veradun, in front of other Sith—an act considered both reckless and intimate—she provoked his wrath, revealing her vulnerability. She again showed fear when cornered by Aryn Leneer aboard an Imperial shuttle as the Jedi activated Master Zallow’s lightsaber. In both instances, her survival instincts surfaced, exposing cracks in her normally poised demeanor.

Nevertheless, Eleena remained unwaveringly loyal to Malgus. She joined him on the front lines during the Temple assault, knowingly facing overwhelming odds, and later undertook classified missions at his request. Her loyalty was not born of blind devotion, however; she possessed emotional courage, confronting Malgus directly about his growing anger and the toll it was taking on their relationship. She referred to him as Veradun in private—an act that reminded him of his origins and gentler nature, and one that few, if any, dared to mirror.

Though she was perhaps the only individual to genuinely smile in Malgus’s presence, Eleena was not blind to the imbalance of their bond. She longed for something deeper and more meaningful, a desire that remained unfulfilled. To Malgus, Eleena represented his moral conscience—his greatest weakness, and one of the few elements of his life that could be exploited by enemies or inner conflict. Her presence stirred conflicting emotions within him: affection, guilt, restraint, and rage.

She was a competent fighter, wielding twin blaster pistols and standing beside Malgus during their assault on the Jedi Temple.

Appearance: Eleena Daru is a female Rutian Twi’lek with light blue skin, characteristic of her subspecies. She has two long, symmetrical lekku (head-tails) that extend down her back and over her shoulder. Her facial features are sharp and symmetrical, with a straight nose, defined cheekbones, pink blush, and pale lips. She wears a headband integrated with tech components. Her attire consists of a sleek, form-fitting black and blue bodysuit reinforced with ribbed armor-like plating along the torso and spine. She is equipped with a utility belt carrying small pouches, capsules, and side holsters. Her standard armament includes twin blaster pistols. Her boots rise mid-calf and are reinforced, with her gloves and gauntlets similarly practical and combat-oriented.
