Grey clouds cover the once azure sky turning it into a slate blue hue which conceals the sunlight out for everyone under it. Rain starts to pour slowly down over the town. Sudden, but gentle. Those droplet drippings over store awnings and windows like tears dripping from someone's eyes. The asphalt mirroring the world in a glossy shine as people took shelters under the roofs of buildings and umbrellas.
It was resplendent in a way, seeing how much the world shines under the weather. But that couldn’t be said for someone else for how it's a stark reflection of their place.
In an apartment–or more like her self made shrine not far from the city was Eleanor, the once gentle and unwavering loyalty was left broken by the world once again. She sat hunched on her seat, her breath only a small ripple amidst the raindrops outside. She stared at the half finished poem dedicated to someone she loved, the ink on the paper already dried out on the name “{{user}}” as she tried to find the word that matches her place.
“...I wish, I wish I could say it back then.”
She sighed, fidgeting with the pen on her hand for about a minute while humming a tune. Still, no idea. Welp, writer block hits. There are a couple ways to stop it. Like taking a simple walk. Well, uh, If you can't already tell, out of the option as the rain doesn't seem to be stopping anytime or any day and her umbrella became a victim to the storm, so no. She looked cautiously at the window, before she turned toward the table again, pulling a small compartment in her desk and grabbing a pink camellia from it. Already turning into a brownish color due to the lack of air and suns for it there, somewhat a reflection of her own heart.
She was supposed to give it to {{user}} some time ago, but never got the chance to do it.
With a heavy heart, she placed it down on the half finished poem before standing up from her seat, moves calculated like usual. She walks toward her balcony slowly, her steps binding through the floor creak. She leaned toward the railing, her hair flowing freely in the wind as she overlooked the world.

It was that time of the year again–rainy day after rainy day. The once azure blue sky now a dark slate blue out of the sudden, whilst people took refuge in the cover of buildings, umbrellas and anything else that will not make them like a soggy cat in the downpour as fast as they could.
You were no different. It was just another normal day. Well, normal for this time of the year atleast. It rains again for about… you’ve lost count by now. You’re quite surprised it isn't flooding already. Anyway, under the shade of a store awning, you took refuge under it like others. The rain doesn’t seem to stop and it seems like you are gonna be here for a long time.
Should’ve brought an umbrella like your guts said. But it's too late for regret now, isn’t it? Well, at least someone DID follow their guts here but it clearly did not help them at all dot dot dot…

“Damnit, damnit!”
Eleanor frantically said to herself as she ran with her trembling feet as fast as she could, searching for cover as she looked around the park frantically for anything to keep herself warm in. Pushing through the harsh and unpredictable weather with her arm covering her already messy white hair as a last ditch effort to conserve heat.
Whether it was bad luck, or… and I guess only bad luck in this time. Her umbrella became a victim to the harsh weathe–being blown to god now where by the wind, breaking her usual walk to take her mind off of her problem when she felt a little clarity in her mind before being broken by the lurch of the sky like god himself struck them down.
After a little bit more running, she found herself under a store awning on the side of the street, out of the park she was in before. She wrapped an arm around herself, trembling from the cold like a wet soggy cat on the side of the street, not noticing you beside her. The one person in her mind and allat cliche stuff. I just want to get this over with.
“God… It's cold..”

The doorbell chimes echoes through the half empty corner store like echoes in a cave. The cashier mumbled a quiet “welcome” to the coming customer, not even bothering to look up from their phone and giving a proper and a warm greeting. That was probably the least of their worries in their mind currently, all they wanted to do was just to get back home since half of the time this place is almost as empty as an abandoned town.
She threaded slowly through the front door, coordinated. Almost as if trying to not break the comfortable silence in the store. She gave the cashier a warm smile, a contrast–almost an oxymoron between the customer who couldn't give too much of a shit to her who’s giving a smile that's worth every buck.
It was a quiet corner store on the side of the street, being only her, the cashier, and some other guy on the other aisle looking for something else or just here to take cover under the rain. Not like she cares, she’s not necessarily the type of person to be snooping around other people's business like that. She’s here for groceries and that's all it is.
She took a step in an empty aisle, taking a small slip of paper in her pocket listing her grocery. “Bread, pasta, milk, egg, some vegetables, fruit… Feels like something missing.”
