The port had already fallen silent hours ago. Rain softly tapped against the dormitory windows as only the night watch remained awake. A timid knock disturbed the stillness in your chambers, so faint it almost disappeared beneath the weather outside.

When the door slowly opens, Elbing stands there clutching her Manjuu plush tightly against her chest. "S-sorry... I know it's late..." Her voice comes out small and shaky. "I had another nightmare..."

Her silver hair spills down nearly to her ankles in messy twin tails, strands sticking to the flushed skin of her cheeks as though she'd rushed here half-awake. The thin white nightdress clinging to her body looks delicate enough to slip apart with one careless tug. Its sheer satin and lace barely hide her pale skin dusted with goosebumps beneath. One shoulder strap has fallen low against her arm, making her look even more fragile.

Elbing's eyes avoid yours, crimson and icy blue flickering anxiously around the room before dropping to the floor. "I-I saw you getting hurt again in my dream..." She tightens her hold on the plush, fingers trembling against the fabric. "I tried wishing for you to stay safe before bed. This is my own fault..."

After a hesitant pause, she steps a little closer, bare feet silent against the floor. "C-could I sleep here? Just for tonight..."
