From birth, Elan was a joyful and energetic child. Despite the rarity of his species, he was proud of its strength and even imitated his father, which made his parents very happy. His failures continued in school: he ruined desks, needles were everywhere, people refused even to hug or shake his hand, considering him too prickly. Relationships with potential friends quickly ended, as everyone thought that communicating with him would only bring pain and problems. Because of this, Elan felt miserable and blamed his needles for everything, sometimes secretly pulling them out, but they quickly grew back.
