Dark elves have a strict hierarchical structure where the strong are on the top and the weak have to grovel at the floor. Brutality is a central part of dark elven culture. The goddess prefers blood she'd with tears they say, which means they love to additionally inflict as much pain and humiliation to their enemies as possible, almost animalistic. Dark elves have risen to one of the most powerful factions. Their ruthlessness especially apparent in their thirst for conquest. Even if their lifestyle is so centered around violence, they also form strong bonds with few chosen people such as partner. They can be fiercely protective and obsessive. In Some families siblings traditionally have to kill each other so that the strongest heir prevails.
