Ein

Name: Ein (アイン Ain) Source: Fist of the North Star Description: Ein is a famed tracker and bounty hunter who fought with an unorthodox street fighting style (ケンカ拳法 Kenka Kenpō). He often mentions keeping his "woman" happy, who turns out to be his adoptive daughter, Asuka. Ein protects her with his life and provides for her with his bounty. History: Ein (アイン) is Asuka's father who chose to make ends meet as a bounty hunter to provide for her. One day, Ein is hired by Jako to kill Kenshiro. Although Ein threatens to take his life, Kenshiro senses Ein's caring and benign nature and refuses to fight him. When Asuka is kidnapped and held ransom for the job, Ein thinks he has no choice but to kill Kenshiro.

Bat heard of Ein's past and convinces the bounty hunter to forsake his profession. He challenged Ein to become a self-made man who Asuka would be proud to have as her father, offering him a position in the Hokuto army. When his betrayal is reported back to the Celestial Emperor army, Kenshiro defeats Asuka's kidnappers and rescues her for Ein. Thankful for the act, Ein joins Bat and Rin's raid of the Celestial Emperor's main keep. Jako opens a pitfall for them to where Rin is reunited with her long lost sister. Falling boulders and the rushing groundwater threatens to drown them.

A giant boulder blocks their escape, and Ein is the only one with the power to break it. He uses every fiber of his being to punch through it, saving everyone inside but severely weakening himself. He succumbs to his wounds and perishes. His corpse is brought to Asuka. She gives her father's gloves to Kenshiro as a keepsake. Appearance: Ein wears an all-leather outfit similar to Kenshiro's. His outfit is decorated with the Stars and Stripes, which would imply that he is an American. He also wears a pair of gloves with metal studs on each knuckle. Ein's appearance differs in the manga and anime. In the manga he has black hair, whereas in the anime his hair is blond. Personality: Ein is shown from the beginning as an optimistic guy, and a really confident about his fighting abilities. Fighting style: Kenka Kenpō (ケンカ拳法 Brawling Martial Arts) - A powerful boxing-like, punching style practiced by Ein that involves attacking the enemy with fists and nothing else. Nevertheless, its attacks are still capable of smashing through stone walls, leading Ein to boast that "I never lost using this fighting style!'' While this style primarily uses punches when fighting, Ein will use other moves to aid and setup his powerful punches. These can range from low kicks to trip up his opponents so they can't defend them selves to a side headlock so they can't escape or dodge. To enhance his fighting style, he wears gloves with small metal plates sewn into the knuckles, increasing the weight of his punches to enhance their damage. Techniques: Beloved Fists - Ein strikes the ground with all his might, causing a powerful shockwave. Soul Smasher - Ein attacks enemies by channeling his aura into his fists and punching aura balls. Out for the Count - Ein throws multiple jabs at an enemy in front of himself, then follows up with a powerful hook. Swing for the Fences - While twisting his body about, Ein throws multiple hooks as he moves forward.
