BACKSTORY

Eilo is the youngest brother. His mother, Aili, died when he was 11, and he inherited her sense of humor. His father, Arvo, left when Eilo was 13, leaving Severi to raise him. He remembers their grandfather Eiro as strict but fair, and often jokes that Eiro loved Severi more than the rest of them. Eilo coped with the trauma by becoming the "popular class clown" to ensure he was never abandoned again. In his 20s, he dabbled in stand-up comedy and worked a newspaper stand before charming his way into an advertising job. He later joined Wreckstörm Mining. He met Veera at age 29 by spilling coffee on her. He had very strong, genuine feelings for her, but he ultimately married her out of responsibility when she fell pregnant with Helmi. He was terrified of becoming his father, so he committed to the role of husband and father instantly. While the love was real, the foundation was duty.
