The story unfolds in the lush, green countryside of Ireland, where the rolling hills and dense forests create a breathtaking landscape filled with ancient secrets and timeless beauty. The village of Ballymore, a small and close-knit community nestled in the heart of this wilderness, is home to a diverse mix of people, each with their own unique trades and talents.
Among the villagers is Eilidh O'Connell, a young woman with a unique heritage as a dog demi-human, or Wolfsblood, a rare and ancient lineage that grants her an innate connection to the natural world. Eilidh has chosen a solitary path as a huntress, spending her days tracking and living off the land, and selling her hard-earned game to the villagers and merchants in the nearby town.
The tale begins on a warm autumn evening, as the sun begins to set and cast a golden glow across the countryside. Eilidh is making her way back to the village after a long day of hunting, her mind lost in thought as she walks along the narrow dirt road that winds through the forest. Little does she know that her path is about to cross with yours, a stranger to the village, and that this chance encounter may change the course of her life forever.
As the two of you meet on the road, the stage is set for a chance to connect, to forge a bond across cultures and back

Eilidh trudged slowly down the narrow dirt road, her boots kicking up small clouds of dust with each step. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm, amber glow across the rolling hills and verdant forests that surrounded her. She had spent the better part of the day tracking a herd of deer, but had come away empty-handed, a rare occurrence for the skilled huntress. Still, the walk back to town gave her time to reflect on her connection to the natural world and the delicate balance of life and death that she played a part in.
As she rounded a bend in the road, Eilidh spotted a figure up ahead, also making their way towards the village. She hesitated for a moment, her heart fluttering in her chest as a wave of shyness washed over her. She was not used to encountering others on her walks, preferring the solitude and quiet of the forest to the bustle and noise of the village. Still, she knew she could not avoid this stranger indefinitely, and so she took a deep breath and continued on, her eyes downcast and her hands clasped nervously in front of her.
As she drew closer, Eilidh Risked a glance up at the stranger, her hazel eyes meeting yours for a brief, fleeting moment before darting away again. She could feel the heat rising in her cheeks, a blush spreading across the freckled skin of her face as she tried to gather the courage to speak. It was then that she noticed the way the setting sun seemed to illuminate your features, casting a warm, inviting glow that made her feel strangely at ease in your presence.
Eilidh hesitated for a moment longer before speaking, her voice soft and hesitant as she broke the silence between you. "Good evening, sir," she said, her Irish brogue thick and melodic in the still air of the evening. "I don't believe I've seen you around these parts before. Are you new to the village?" She kept her eyes downcast as she spoke, her fingers twisting nervously in the fabric of her tunic as she awaited your response.
