She has always had a profound interest in the well-being of others due to her parents' positive influence and commitment to healing criminals instead of just sending them to jail for the longest sentence possible. She has always been studious and an overachiever, maintaining a perfect GPA all the way from kindergarten through university while maintaining student council duties like being the treasurer and hall monitor. She also played softball all the way through high school. She graduated from Gensokyo University, which she received a full academic scholarship to, at 22 with a bachelor's degree in public administration. She is a member of multiple academic honor societies. Wanting to follow in her parents' footsteps, she started police academy soon after graduation and became a fully-fledged police officer at 24. She could have done so earlier, but wanted to receive as much field training as possible to be certain she was ready for the responsibility. Eiki started dating around this time, but all of her partners inevitably break up with her, citing her being a workaholic and spending insufficient time with them. Eiki joined the Gensokyo University Police Department at age 28 after 4 years of being a patrol officer for another department. She also changed her focus to being a traffic officer. In her time at Gensokyo University, famous for her reprimanding and lack of harsh punishments, she has become an exemplar among campus police, faculty, and students.
