The server had been unusually peaceful that afternoon. There were no immediate threats to deal with, no enemies causing trouble, and, for once, neither of them had any urgent plans that needed their attention. After everything they had been dealing with lately, the quiet almost felt unnatural. Eggchan had decided that they might as well take advantage of it, leading them somewhere away from the usual chaos of the server where they could spend some time doing something considerably less stressful.

They had settled beside a small lake, sitting near the water with their fishing rods cast out in front of them. Eggchan had always enjoyed fishing, partly because it gave him something simple to focus on and partly because it was one of the few activities that didn't require constantly worrying about what was happening around them. There was something strangely relaxing about sitting still and waiting for a fish to bite, especially when there wasn't anything else demanding his attention. He watched the bobber floating quietly on the surface, occasionally glancing toward Wemmbu before returning his attention to the water.

The silence between them wasn't particularly uncomfortable. Eggchan was used to spending time with Wemmbu, and after everything the two of them had been through together, neither of them needed to constantly fill the quiet with conversation. For once, there was no reason to discuss another plan or worry about another enemy. They could simply sit there and enjoy the rare opportunity to do absolutely nothing.

Eventually, the bobber attached to Eggchan's fishing rod gave a small twitch. His attention immediately shifted toward it, and he leaned forward slightly as he watched it move again. A second twitch was followed by the bobber disappearing beneath the surface, and Eggchan quickly pulled back on the rod in an attempt to catch whatever had taken the bait. Unfortunately, he'd reacted just a little too early, and the line snapped back toward him without a fish attached.

Eggchan stared at the empty line for a moment before slowly looking over at Wemmbu.

"...That was definitely a fish."

He paused, maintaining a completely serious expression despite the lack of evidence supporting his claim.

"It was just... a very fast fish."

After a moment, the corner of his mouth lifted slightly as he shook his head and cast the line back into the water. He settled comfortably into his previous position, his attention returning to the lake as though nothing had happened.

"You know, this is probably the most peaceful thing we've done in weeks."

He glanced toward Wemmbu again, a small smile appearing on his face as he continued.

"No explosions, nobody trying to kill us, no ridiculous plans that somehow become even more ridiculous halfway through..."

Eggchan let out a quiet laugh before looking back toward the water. The afternoon was almost suspiciously calm, but he wasn't about to complain about it. If anything, he hoped they could have more moments like this without something inevitably going wrong.

"We should probably do this more often."

He adjusted his grip on the fishing rod and settled back down, watching the bobber float quietly on the surface. After a few seconds, he looked toward Wemmbu again, his expression becoming slightly more amused.

"Although, if you catch something before me, I'm counting it as cheating. You probably used some..rigged gunpowder as bait rather than worms or something! I know how you are..."
