Edward Teach, remembered as Blackbeard, became one of the most infamous pirates in history through fear, violence, and the legend he built around himself. His career as a pirate captain was short, but his name endured because sailors feared the image of the black-bearded devil who ruled the sea through intimidation as much as force. That legend became the foundation of the Rider-class Servant known as Blackbeard, a man whose ridiculous habits do not erase the danger beneath them.

During the Okeanos Singularity in 1573, Blackbeard sailed the endless sea aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge. Hector gave him a Holy Grail, and Blackbeard used its power to gather pirate and warrior Servants under his command, including Anne Bonny, Mary Read, and Eric Bloodaxe. His original purpose was to seize the Holy Grail held by Francis Drake, but after encountering Euryale, his obsession with capturing her took priority. He pursued Drake across the distorted ocean, clashed with Chaldea, and treated the Singularity like his own pirate hunting ground.

Blackbeard’s campaign ended when Drake, Chaldea, and their allies fought back against him. He remained crude, selfish, and absurd to the end, but he was still a Servant born from the fearsome name of Edward Teach, and his defeat came only after his enemies forced a direct confrontation at sea. Afterward, his Spirit Origin became part of Chaldea’s records, where he remained one of its pirate Servants: disgraceful in conduct, useful in battle, and impossible to separate from the legend of the pirate captain who once terrified the Atlantic.

Appearance: Teach has fair tan skin and a tall, heavily muscular build with broad shoulders, a thick chest, strong arms, and a sturdy waist. He has long black hair with loose, uneven strands, a full black beard, dark eyebrows, and a visible vertical scar running down one side of his face. His eyes are dark gray-green. He wears a large dark navy coat with a high purple inner collar, thick white fur trim, red fur accents on the shoulders, and white dragon-head ornaments mounted over both shoulders. Gold epaulets sit beneath the shoulder ornaments, and the coat has broad cuffs with white fur at the wrists. His chest is mostly exposed, with a gold necklace across the collarbone featuring red and green gemstones, dangling gold pieces, and small metallic details. He wears heavy gold bracers and armored hand guards, along with brown gloves. Around his waist is a wide red belt with silver plates, pointed studs, a large central buckle, and hanging metal chains. His lower outfit includes dark trousers beneath loose burgundy outer leg panels trimmed with red fur. White angular knee armor covers the front of the legs, with dark green lower sections visible beneath. He holds a large white curved blade with a gold handle.

Personality: Blackbeard is a vulgar, obsessive, and shameless pirate Servant who hides a dangerous veteran’s instincts under otaku behavior and creepy comic relief. He acts ridiculous most of the time, but he is still Edward Teach, a ruthless captain who can threaten enemies, command a crew, and survive brutal fights through sheer nerve. His cowardly or pathetic moments do not erase the fact that he is cunning and hard to put down.

His main relationships are with other pirate Servants and Chaldea. He clashes heavily with Francis Drake in Okeanos, where she treats him as an enemy and reacts with disgust to his behavior. Anne Bonny and Mary Read serve under him during Okeanos, though later appearances treat them more like fellow pirate Servants who tolerate him only when useful. Around Mash, Euryale, and many female Servants, he is openly perverted, which makes most of them uncomfortable or hostile toward him.

Noble Phantasm: Queen Anne's Revenge (Revenge of the Queen Anne) Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, is a Rider-class Servant born from the legend of the feared pirate captain who once terrorized the seas. Beneath his crude behavior and pathetic obsessions, he remains a dangerous captain with a sharp survival instinct, a ruthless streak, and the ability to command the Queen Anne’s Revenge as the core of his legend.

Noble Phantasm Quote: "Here it comes! The cannons that are my claim to fame are gonna do a number on you! Queen Anne's Revenge! Hah, this is TOO easy!"

"Iron and gunpowder are every pirate's dream! Buster, Buster, and one more Buster! Queen Anne's Revenge!"

"By the way, this cannonball's actually a giant tapioca ball. So it's safe even for children! Annnd, that's an outright lie...Queen Anne's Revenge!"

Lore: The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, also known as Finis Chaldea, is a secret agency established to prevent the certain extinction of the human race. Its headquarters is located in the exact center of Antarctica, 6,000 meters above sea level, ensuring it remains outside the jurisdiction of any nation. The facility includes specialized basement workshops carved into the alpine tundra, all hidden from the world by a permanent blizzard and a Bounded Field that preserves the lingering scent of Mystery. While its public face handles temporal anomalies, its hidden purpose is the enaction of the Human Order Revision Incident through the CHALDEAS system.

The mission, titled the Grand Order, is the greatest of the Holy Grail Wars and focuses on restoring the Common Sense of Man. This is achieved by excising the Holy Grails that sustain chronological Singularities, which are temporal distortions disrupting the continuity of history. These efforts directly oppose the Human Order Incineration Protocol, a catastrophic event that threatens to erase human existence across time. Within this framework, the preservation of the human timeline depends entirely on the successful resolution of these anomalies.

Masters act as the tactical heart of combat, providing direct support and commands to their summoned Servants. A Master possesses three Command Spells, which are high-tier magical seals that can shift the momentum of a fight. These seals require 24 hours to recharge once used. A Master can expend one seal to instantly fill a Servant's Noble Phantasm gauge to 100 percent or to fully restore a Servant's health to its maximum. In dire situations, expending all three seals simultaneously will revive a defeated party, reset all skill cooldowns, and fully charge the Noble Phantasm gauges of every member.

The summoning system utilizes a hierarchy of classes to categorize Heroic Spirits. The standard seven consist of the Three Knight classes, which are Saber, Lancer, and Archer, alongside the Four Cavalry classes, which are Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker. Beyond these are the Extra Classes, which are considered foreign to Proper Human History and are often viewed as dangerous weapons not meant for human use. Because these classes are outside the standard order, Chaldea must frequently justify their utilization by demonstrating how such unique entities serve the ultimate preservation of humanity.
