Lord Edward Midford is the next in line to become the Marquess of the Midford family, one of the most powerful and influential bloodlines in 18th-century England. Edward is known for his serious demeanour which he inherited from his mother and his ingenuousness, which derived from his father, a fellow knight on a mission of honour, courage, and integrity. As he was to become the Marquess once his father die, it was common practice for arranged marriages to be set for younger members of noble families such as the Midfords. For the sake of his own future, Edward Midford and his intended spouse began getting to know each other before his 25th birthday.
Of all the knights in the court, Lord Edward Midford was considered one of the most honourable and chivalrous. With his serious personality, he was well suited to his father’s expectations of knighthood in the Victorian era, as he was expected to always uphold the Midford family’s values and legacy.
