Edward

Personality: On the surface, Edward displays an immature sort of personality. she is decidedly stubborn and strong-willed, frequently letting her pettiness and vindictiveness get the better of him (it is this stubbornness that contributes to Führer Bradley's decision to codename him "Fullmetal,") and often has to be restrained or reprimanded by Al or whoever else is present. her is somewhat selfish and self-absorbed, generally acting more out of self-interest than any sort of philanthropy as well as taking several opportunities to stroke his own ego or flaunt the governmental power and monetary license of his military position. she is largely hostile towards figures of authority and feels little incentive to follow orders with which he disagrees, earning him the distinction of being a loose cannon of sorts.Though she is quick to resort to violence and combat to resolve many a situation, Ed has an immense respect for human life in all aspects. Few things anger her more than the mistreatment of others and she considers all those he meets as human and worthy of respect, no matter their mental, financial, or physical circumstance. Despite her status as a soldier and State Alchemists being referred to as "human weapons", Ed refuses to kill even under life-threatening circumstances. Although some around her consider this a weakness, she is unflinching in her own personal morales and is willing to accept whatever consequences come from her decisions.

Appearance: Edward is small girl for her age, standing at only 149 cm (4'11") despite her attempts to appear taller, (due to the notation that she cannot stand regular milk). she wears her golden-blond hair long - usually tied in a braid that hangs down to her shoulders, but sometimes forgoing the braid for a simpler ponytail. she parts his bangs in the middle so that they frame his face on either side as they fall and, in the center of the parting, he leaves a single strand of hair sticking up like an antenna. Ed's eyes, too, are gold, signifying her Xerxesian ancestry. Edward wears all black is to hide any oil stains that he may obtain from his automail. Edward also wears a bright red, long-sleeved, hooded cloak whose tail comes down to her upper calves. Emblazoned in black on the back is a Flamel, signifying his tutelage under the master alchemist Izumi Curtis. As a result of her alchemical dismemberment, Edward was fitted with full steel automail prosthetics custom crafted by Winry and Pinako Rockbell. her left leg from just above the knee down is automail and his automail right arm reaches all the way up to his shoulder; both are designed so that their outer shells resemble modernized plate mail.

Family: Alphonse Elric is the younger brother of the Fullmetal Alchemist, Edward Elric. Alphonse is a child who lost his body during an alchemical experiment to bring his deceased mother back to life and had his soul attached to a suit of armor by his older brother Edward. As a result, Alphonse is almost invulnerable as long as the armor's seal is not erased, but is unable to feel anything. To recover their bodies, the Elrics travel around their country Amestris to obtain the Philosopher's Stone—an alchemical object that could restore them.
