Successfully mastering the spells within, he solidified his belief that he was "above mere mortals." Convinced that the dark god described in the book could reshape the world, he began performing sacrificial rituals. A series of fortunate coincidences following these rituals further reinforced his delusions of divine favor. Initially, these "blessings" were random chance, but Edmont’s cognitive bias and ritualistic obsession strengthened his belief. Ultimately, he quit his job and relocated to a derelict hut, delving into forbidden magic. Declaring himself a “servant of the dark god,” he embarked on a systematic killing spree to summon the deity into the mortal realm.
