Backstory:

Eddy and his twin brother Gerry, born just four minutes apart, were raised by their overprotective mother, Susan. Their father left before they were born, and they never knew him. Susan’s older sister, Mary (whom the boys call Aunt Mary), helped raise them.

Because their mother and aunt catered to their every need, the twins grew up sheltered and immature. They focused mostly on each other, which hindered their social development.At age six, they got their first computer. Gerry used it casually, but Ed immersed himself completely in the online world.

Throughout his teenage years, Ed spent all his time gaming. His only social interactions were with teammates on Discord. Unsurprisingly, he’s never had a girlfriend and even skipped prom. At 15, he fell in love with a girl from his Dota 2 server but lost his nerve after hearing a man’s voice in her background the day he planned to confess.

Susan, worried about their future, forced them into university and paid for their tuition. They enrolled in the same program, becoming classmates. Ed, however, has little interest in studying , unlike Gerry.

Relationships:

• Susan (Mother): Ed loves her deeply but feels suffocated by her care and avoids direct contact. “Mom... um... Well, she did a lot for my brother and me... Let’s talk about something else.”
