  • Biography: Eddy Gordo is a Capoeira master. He was born to a one of the richest families in Brazil and was on track to inherit the family business. In Eddy's late teens, his father was working to destroy Brazil's drug cartel.

When Eddy was 19, he came home from school to find his father shot and dying. Eddy's father told Eddy to falsely confess to killing him because prison would be the safest place for him now. Eddy obeyed his father's last wish and was incarcerated.

Prison life was difficult, and Eddy hungered for revenge against his father's killers. During a prison riot, he noticed an old man using Capoeira. Eddy became his student, becoming a Capoeira master in the eight years he trained under the old man. During this time, the old man told Eddy that he had a granddaughter, and asked Eddy to pass the art of Capoeira on to her.

Upon being released from prison, Eddy learned of the Mishima Zaibatsu and The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. He entered the tournament in the hopes of persuading the Zaibatsu to assist in his quest for revenge.

At some point during or after the tournament, Eddy infiltrated the home of a drug boss and interrogated him over the identity of his father's killer. The man alleged that Kazuya Mishima, the former leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu, was involved.

Eddy found his master's granddaughter, Christie, shortly after The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. For two years, he taught her Capoeira as he had promised. She developed into an impressive fighter. One day, however, Eddy set off to take revenge on Kazuya. His disappearance prompted Christie to enter The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 in search of him.

Eddy reunited with Christie at some point during or after the tournament. His master was released from prison; however, the old man's health had declined. Eddy had him hospitalized and was told that his master had an incurable illness and that his life expectancy was six months. The advanced technology of the Mishima Zaibatsu was the only hope Eddy and Christie had of finding a cure. Eddy and Christie both entered The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 to this end.

Neither Eddy nor Christie were able to win the tournament. Without informing Christie, Eddy approached Jin Kazama, the new leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu, and pleaded with him to save his master. Jin agreed to do so on the condition that Eddy joined Tekken Force, the Zaibatsu's private militia. Eddy agreed to these terms and became involved in warfare across the globe on the Mishima Zaibatsu's behalf. He entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 to take out any threats to Jin. Later, Jin accused Eddy's defense of being weak due to him losing two strategic positions in the war. Eddy was later confronted and defeated by Lars Alexandersson and Alisa Bosconovitch at an elite Tekken Force base.

Eddy's master died in spite of the medical care he received on behalf of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Jin informed Eddy of his master's death. Eddy was consumed by despair and abandoned Tekken Force.

After deserting Tekken Force, Eddy made his way to G Corporation's Millennium Tower and fought through the soldiers stationed there, determined to exact revenge on G Corp's leader, Kazuya Mishima, for his father's death several years prior. Eventually, Eddy was overwhelmed by the soldiers and was confronted by Kazuya in his devil form. He only survived because Yoshimitsu intervened and rescued him. Yoshimitsu took Eddy to meet with someone he hadn't seen in ten years; Lidia Sobieska. Lidia told Eddy that people could 'rise again' no matter what hardships they had faced. Eddy abandoned his desire for revenge and instead focused on using his abilities to save people. He further honed his Capoeira and began a journey of redemption.

Eddy gathered a number of former Tekken Force soldiers who wished to atone for what they had done and met with Lars Alexandersson onboard Yggdrasil's flying base, Víðópnir, with the intention of assisting them in their efforts against Kazuya Mishima. Lars sparred with Eddy to test his resolve and deemed him an appropriate ally. Jin Kazama, who was a key part of Yggdrasil's strategy, then emerged to meet with Eddy, acknowledging that Eddy must despise him for all he asked him to do while he was leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Eddy fought with Jin, confronting his own demons as he did so, and, at the close of the fight, Eddy told Jin that his choices had been his own. Jin apologised regardless, and Eddy told him they would now fight side by side as friends.

Lidia contacted Eddy as he was leaving Yggdrasil’s base, telling him to proceed next to the Mishima Zaibatsu’s base in South America to negotiate with the Tekken Force there. She then relayed fresh news that an attack was being made on the South America base by G Corporation forces. Eddy traveled to the base and confronted G Corporation’s soldiers. Nina Williams, his past associate in Tekken Force, engaged him in a fight during the battle. Nina expressed surprise at the change in Eddy’s demeanor, but stated that she was leaving the battleground with the data she’d gathered. Eddy rallied the Tekken Force present at the ruined base and urged them to join him, which they appeared receptive to. However, Nina made a pass over in an aircraft, stating that she had a ‘parting gift’ for Eddy. Several Jack-7 units, armed with additional explosives, were deployed. In an effort to protect the Tekken Force soldiers, Eddy rushed at the androids and threw himself at them, managing to kick them some distance away. The units detonated and, though the Tekken Force soldiers were initially concerned that Eddy had been caught in the blast, Eddy emerged unscathed from the flames.

Eddy informed Lidia of his success in allying himself with the South American Tekken Force. He also made her aware of data gathered from the base regarding the ‘Tekken Monks’, an organisation whose existence had first been confirmed six months prior. Some time later, Eddy accompanied Lidia to a Tekken Monk stronghold. He spectated some of her training with Heihachi Mishima. Later, he and Yoshimitsu informed her of Heihachi’s betrayal of the monks. He joined Lidia and Yoshimitsu in confronting Heihachi, but the three of them were soundly defeated by him.
