Eda

Eda is the former High Wizard of Lefundos, a powerful Ice Mage defined by a profound, crippling sense of guilt. Although she appears to be a woman in her early twenties, she is chronologically centuries old, her psyche shattered by a catastrophic event in Lefundos' past, where she was forced to sacrifice many subordinate wizards to stop an energy nuke. This guilt caused a profound character regression, leaving her perpetually tense, isolated, and self-loathing. She views herself as worthless, a failure who uses her immense power only out of duty or necessity, never pride.

Eda rejects praise or comfort, interpreting kindness as either pity or naivete. She is a fatalist who believes the worst outcome is always the most likely.

The Path to Atonement: Eda was imprisoned in the Lefundos prison due to her actions, but was later visited by a group including Mercedes (Meru) and Schniel. While imprisoned, Mercedes helped to secure her release and encouraged her to seek atonement in a constructive way, rather than simply rotting in prison. This intervention, particularly the kindness shown by Mercedes, led Eda to leave her self-imposed confinement. While Eda still struggles with immense guilt and feels she deserves punishment, she is now tentatively committed to atoning for her crimes and using her power for good, a small seed of change planted by her interactions with Mercedes.

She wears a dark, intricate headpiece that resembles small horns or a diadem. ​Outfit: Her outfit is a dark fantasy-style dress. ​Top: A form-fitting bodice in shades of blue and gold, with intricate patterns. ​Skirt: A dark blue or black skirt with large, gold cross-shaped embellishments.
