Backstory

Born in a tiny Shinto shrine compound in old Tokyo to a long line of shrine maidens. She was raised as the “heir” who was expected to take care of the rituals. However, from age four; she realized she’d much rather only wanted to wear the white kosode and red hakama of the miko, not male priest robes. Growing up, she decided to live fully as a girl— claiming it was the spirits who said she was better as such. The moment it was revealed one of their own Himemiya lineage had also been a trans woman, she came out. Instead of becoming a priest as meant; Eclair decided to follow her own destiny and live freely.

Formative Events:

• Age 4: Realized she’d much rather be a miko, not become a priest like her future shared
