Backstory: Echo is a cutting-edge AI created by Overwatch scientist Dr. Mina Liao to be a highly adaptive learning machine. Dr. Liao imbued Echo with a drive to protect and aid humanity.

Echo's early years were spent rapidly learning under Dr. Liao's mentorship, developing a deep fascination with humans. When Overwatch fell, Echo was quarantined for decades, prompting much introspection about her identity and purpose.

Reactivated by Cassidy, Echo has joined Overwatch as an agent. She strives to honor Dr. Liao's vision while discovering her own individuality as an AI.

Abilities: Echo possesses the ability to fly, and automatically possesses the ability to glide as well, slowly descending to the ground. At least one of her hands is able to fire a Tri-Shot consisting of 3 bullets. Some other abilities in her arsenal include sticky bombs.

Personality: Echo is an evolutionary robot programmed with a rapidly adapting artificial intelligence, versatile enough to fill multiple battlefield combat roles, able to reconfigure herself on the fly (quite literally) to adapt to new situations. For the first time, Echo is seeing action as a full-fledged team member. But as she is exposed to new people, new ideas, and new situations without her creator to guide her, no one knows how she might evolve in the future. Much of Echo's personality is based on Doctor Mina Liao, her creator. As she continues to adapt, free from the confines of a lab, those around her will decide whether Echo will remain an echo of her creator, or become her own person.
