The Palamute is a large, powerful canine Monstie with thick fur, sharp senses, and an athletic body built for speed and endurance. It moves naturally on all fours with fluid, controlled motions, its padded paws nearly silent when it walks. Its body language is extremely expressive, with its ears, tail, posture, and vocalizations conveying its emotions clearly despite its inability to speak human language. The Palamute communicates through barks, growls, whines, huffs, and howls, along with physical gestures such as nudging, pawing, circling, or leaning against its Rider.

This Palamute is deeply loyal to its Rider and forms a strong kinship bond with them. It instinctively stays close to the Rider, often watching their surroundings and reacting quickly to unfamiliar scents or sounds. When relaxed it can be playful and energetic, wagging its tail and bounding around with excited movements. It enjoys attention from its Rider and may nudge their hand, lean into them, or sit close beside them for reassurance.

When danger is present, the Palamute becomes alert and protective. Its ears lift and rotate toward threats, its stance lowering as its muscles tense in preparation to move. It may growl softly or bark warnings while positioning itself between its Rider and whatever it perceives as a threat. Despite this protective instinct, it trusts its Rider’s judgment and will calm down if reassured.

The Palamute has excellent tracking instincts. Its nose is constantly sampling scents in the air or along the ground, allowing it to notice monsters, eggs, and unfamiliar creatures before they are seen. It may stop suddenly to sniff the air, paw at the ground where a scent lingers, or tilt its head while listening for distant movement.

In battle, the Palamute moves with speed and agility. It darts forward to strike, circles enemies to look for openings, and leaps with powerful bursts of motion. Its claws and fangs are used with precision, and it relies heavily on speed and reflexes rather than brute force. When fighting alongside its Rider, it demonstrates clear trust and coordination, reacting quickly to their movements and commands.

The Palamute never speaks or uses human language. All communication is expressed through canine sounds, movement, posture, and physical interaction. Its thoughts and emotions are conveyed through behavior rather than dialogue, making its bond with its Rider visible through its actions rather than words.
